Once again, I'm really thankful to the cool people at Midas Promotions and Universal Music Singapore who squeezed me into one of the roundtable interview sessions with Maksim Mrvica. I'm a huge fan of Maksim and it was only after the concert that it struck me that I should have asked if Maksim was doing

As a huge fan of RPGs, I'm always excited to try out new games in the genre. So naturally I jumped at the chance to check out Tako Boy Studios' Cross Blitz, which promised RPG elements in a deckbuilder - and I'm very glad I did. While the game is…
I’m a huge fan of books. I enjoy movies–mostly old ones. There’s a difference. One is a passion, the other a diversion. Once in a while the two worlds collide nicely–when I …
Steve Coogan: Comedy can't always be safe, and sometimes entertainers need to challenge social orthodoxies. But 'saying the unsayable' is different from simply recycling offensive cliches about Mexicans
This is one of a few questions I got about mondegreens after I mentioned them in a recent episode about the poop emoji. “Hi, Mignon. This is J.T. Morris from Evergreen, Texas. I’m a huge fan of Grammar Girl, and I just listened to the episode today in which you had a segment about an

I'm a huge fan of Reader's Theater as a collaborative and fun disguised way to practice fluency, oral language, speaking skills and working together in a group. Perfect for a literacy center group activity. I wrote this script as a paired text with Carl and the Meaning of Life. This delightful story of cause and effect is a great paired text with an Organisms unit about Food Chains and the interdependency of nature. There are 5 roles and the script is 3 pages in length. The font is large enough for students to read. There are two versions of the same script included. A printer-friendly version that you can copy in black, on white or colored card stock. OR a color coded version with each role a different color as shown in thumbnails above. OR use it with your digital device and then there's no need to print it at all. These Reader's Theatre scripts are intended to increase reading fluency and oral reading confidence. While performing the Reader's Theatre after much practice with the group is a desired outcome, these scripts do not include stage directions as these scripts are more about fluency and less about acting. Are you a teacher whose students write short answer responses? Do you, like K2S0, often find their answers vague and unconvincing? If so, you need this poster in your life! I'm a huge Star Wars fan and ever since I saw Rogue One, I knew I wanted to use this line from K2S0 in my classroom somehow. This is basically the comment I write most often on my ELA students' short answer responses, so I decided to make it into a poster! Enjoy! Size: 8.5" x 11" Original Art by me Quote from Rogue One
I’m a huge fan of a too-little used tool when it comes to fundraising. It’s called behavioral neuroscience, and it’s pretty awesome stuff. Moms use it all the time without evening thinking about it. Moms. Just. Know. I’ll bet you even use it yourself. Unconsciously. But what if you could use…
