Resources, tips, and materials to help you, help children with autism
This guide is an abbreviated version of the K–12 edition and contains material targeted to children at the elementary level. It is meant to provide the user practical, “use them today” strategies and materials for writing, implementing and documenting social and behavioral IEP goals. It was designed to be used with students who are verbal and demonstrate mild-moderate special needs. Strategies are appropriate for students placed in the self-contained classroom as well as those included within the general education setting. The guide includes: a goal bank; data collection forms; reinforcement inventories; various daily report card and monitoring forms; guidelines, including a template for teaching social and behavioral skills; as well as a Web Resource list of pertinent sites which include free, downloadable curriculum materials as well as a links to a number of teacher resource sites.
