Hi. My name is Oliver. I have been working as an advertising photographer for almost 25 years. My passion is food, drinks and travelling. As the regular visitor of this website will notice, it has become quieter around my photographic activities. Well, that's because I dedicate myself since the end of 2019 to a new task, namely the wine. And no, not because of Corona or the general prejudice of the drinking artist, - no, but because wine has always aroused my curiosity. The cultivation and development, the craft of this great product. The fascination with this product also reflects what I have always seen as a common thread in my photographic career: A handcrafted, honest and beautiful product that fascinates me. So it happened that I took the chance to pursue my 2nd mainstay and started managing a small and fine store with bistro for exclusively organic certified wines in downtown Hamburg. My second station now leads me to the traditional wine trading house Tesdorpf, where I have been working as a purchasing assistant since June 21, and eventually become a Wine Buyer in 2022. At the same time, I'm also back in school and in training for the Wine Academics Diploma at the Wine School Austria and the University of Geisenheim. Here you see some of my former work. I’ve been to Indaco a few times now and have finally gotten around to writing a review about this awesome spot for Italian food on King Street. I first tried Indaco a couple of years ago at a Yelp event, then I went back for my birthday with my friend Lily, where we tried the Chef’s Tasting Menu. My most recent experience was at the beginning of July with my friend Caty, where we had an amazing Italian feast. I started with the Paloma cocktail (El Jimador blanco, ginger, grapefruit, basil, $10), which I loved. Caty opted for the Namaste Here and Drink (Tito’s, cardamom, ginger beer, hibiscus, lime, $11), which was essentially a Moscow Mule by another name. For our appetizer course, we started with the burrata (tomato panzanella, fried croutons, cucumber, red onion, herbs, $17), which was awesome. I love that burrata is becoming a super trendy food, because I think it’s delicious. Indaco’s version had an awesome array of veggies that went great with the creaminess of the cheese and the crispiness of the croutons. Next up was the polpette (ricotta, San Marzano tomato, Pecorino Romano, $13), which I was a little disappointed by. They had a dryness […]
