Hi Everyone! I'm so happy you stopped by to see my latest project for Tammy Tutterow Designs. I created a cute card using her "Joy Looks Good On You" stamp. This is a very simple card to put together. Enjoy! I cut a dress form from the Accucut A7 dress form die set but you can get a free template for a dress form online or sketch one out yourself. Make sure the image is large enough for the stamp. (My card measures 5" x 7" which is an A7 card size.) I stamp the image at an angle on the bottom of the dress and color the image with Copic markers. I add a small shabby bow sash that I created from seam binding and Disress Ink Oxide in Worn Lipstick. See how I color and create my shabby bows here. For the background of the card, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock and color it with Distress Oxide inks in Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick. I smudge each color onto the craft mat and spray them with water. I then run the paper through the inks until I'm pleased with how they look on the paper. I dry the panel with a heat tool and then spray water droplets onto the panel to create a cool effect that we all know and love. I ink the edges with Simon Says Stamp Magnolia Hybrid Ink with a mini ink blending tool. I then lightly stamp on some of the Tammy Tutterow Big Cheesecloth stamp for texture in random areas with Magnolia ink. (This last step isn't shown. I forgot to take a picture but you can see it if you look at the finished card.) To finish my card, I adhere the dress to the panel above and then adhere that onto a 5" x 7" piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock. I adhere some clear sequins and my card is done. See, it's so simple. InLinkz.com

Hi Everyone! Another week, another amazing challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog. This week we're asking you to add some lucky starts to your creations. Head on over and check out all the details. Don't forget you could win a $50 gift voucher from Simon Says Stamp just for entering. C'mon, don't be shy, join us in all the fun! For my project, I wanted to create something magical like a colorful, faraway galaxy with zooming stars. (Or something like that.) Here is what I came up with: I cut a 5-1/2" x 12" piece of white chipboard and stenciled Prima's Bubble Stencil by Finnabair on the surface with modeling paste. An alternate stencil that would also work is the Donna Downey Bubbles Signature Stencil and an alternate molding paste can be found here. After that was dry, I stenciled some stars on the chipboard using Tim Holtz Stars Stencil. I added colors throughout the piece starting with the top left corner. Here, I applied Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean and Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I work from the lightest color to the darkest, extending the lightest color out the farthest. As I work through the colors going from lightest to darkest, I make sure to decrease the extension of the colors so the darkest color stays closest to the edge. On the top right, I applied Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and on the bottom I applied Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Candied Apple Distress Ink. I also added some stamping using the scribble stamp from Dina Wakley's Textures Media set. Next, I cut out some stars from Dina Wakley's Grungy Stars stamp set to add to the piece. Before adding the grungy stars, I added some distress ink to each and applied each star in it's contrasting color area. (Green star on blue background, orange star on green background and blue star over yellow background.) I also added some doodling over some of the circles and colored some of the stars and circles with a white acrylic paint pen to make them pop. Next, I added some lines for interest with a black Stabilo pencil. I created my sentiment on black cardstock using a Signo Uni-ball White gel pen in my own handwriting and applied it with Ranger Black Adhesive Foam Tape to give it dimension. I wanted some of the areas to really pop with bright color, so I added some Distress Crayons. The last step was to add some Tim Holtz Dot Fade stenciling with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink and to distress the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool. This will draw the eye inward, and my piece was done! Here again, is my finished "Lucky Stars" art piece. I can't wait to see how you interpret our "Use Some Lucky Stars" theme on your project. This was a really fun project for me mainly because I had no idea what I was going to do. I find when I overthink something I hit a roadblock, so I completely emptied my mind and grabbed some supplies and let my hands fly. Have fun and have an awesome week!
