The Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) redevelopment project encompasses the construction of a new 7-storey, 400,000 sq. ft., 172-bed patient care tower and 120,000 sq. ft. of renovations to the existing buildings. The patient-centered project leverages the unique and bucolic location to improve the quality of care, with site organization and built form of the redevelopment designed to acknowledge the hospital's location adjacent to Lake Ontario in the heart of Burlington's waterfront area.

Un bel hommage à Valentine Schlegel est offert par le CRAC Occitanie de Sète, lieu-même où l’artiste a passé son enfance. Qu’il s’agisse des paysages, du port ou des pêcheurs, la culture sétoise n’a cessé de l’inspirer ; un art de vivre local avec lequel elle a tissé de nombreux liens. Artiste plurielle, Valentine Schlegel a peint les costumes du Festival d’Avignon et même réalisé des vases, des sacs, des couverts, des cheminées, des bas-reliefs, tous inspirés de son lieu de vie, devenant une œuvre à part entière. La dimension collective prend une part également importante dans sa dynamique de transmission culturelle. Cette logique de co-création lui a permis de rassembler autour d’elle, artistes et artisans, avec qui elle partage des chantiers de plusieurs semaines. Christian Desse est l’un d’eux, présenté ici à travers une série de sculptures en os de seiche et hampes de plume. On y rencontre aussi Charles Biascamano, dernier pêcheur à Sète pratiquant la technique de la pêche à la traîne dont elle partage l’art de vivre, la liberté et la simplicité. Une plongée intime et intense dans l’ambiance méditerranéenne.
