Hi friends! Today marks the start of sneak peeks for the August Release at Jaded Blossom! This month our gnomes are hitting the great outdoors. I hope you'll follow along as we share our makes leading up to this Thursday's release. Today our gnomes are hitting the lake for a fishing excursion as we share our first looks at the Gnome Dies: Fishing Add Ons, Best Fishes, Best Fishes Outline Dies, and the Fish Stencil. I always seem to be running out of space on my gnome cards, so I ordered some 5 x 7 card bases and decided to try my hand at some A7 sized cards. A new size is always fun to play with! For this one, I started with a panel I smooshed with some blue, green and gray inks, then I pulled out the new Fish Stencil and stenciled over it with green ink. Next I decided I wanted to do a shaker card so the background could show through. I cut a thin rectangle from navy cardstock for the window, leaving space on the side for what I had intended to be another window using the long fish die cut in the fishing add on set, but my measuring went wrong and I had already assembled things, so moved on without it. I'll have to do one with a fish shaped shaker down the road! It sounds fun. My gnomie started with the original Gnome Dies base, then I decked him out with a fishing pole, hat and lure accent using dies from the new Gnome Dies: Fishing Add Ons. Love this hat so much. All my gnome pieces were cut from distress watercolor paper and sponged with distress inks. I added Copic accents to his beard and mustache, then added him to the front of the shaker. I finished with a sentiment from the new Best Fishes set, die cut with the coordinating Best Fishes Outline Dies. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy Friday! It's time for the new Fall Mini release over at Jaded Blossom! We have five new items available! Check them out HERE I created two cards with the new goodies to share with you today! First up is one using the fabulous new Wheelbarrow Die: Fall Add Ons. For the leaves I randomly ink blended a panel of cardstock using fall leaf colors, then splattered with water and some watered down brown ink. Once I was happy with it, I used the three leaves that coordinate with the pile of leaves to cut the entire panel. The base wheelbarrow die pieces are cut from colored cardstock and assembled, then I added all the leaves. I pulled out a sentiment from the Happy Gardening set, and cut with the coordinating outlines to finish off the card. For my next card I pulled out the Build a Booth: Fall Add Ons and got to work assembling the sunflower banner. My base Build a Booth is cut from woodgrain patterned paper and the other pieces are colored cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the new Sunflowers for Sale to finish off the booth. Next I created a sweet little gnomie with the FREEBIE Gnome Girl: Scarecrow Add On set. I pulled out the Gnome Dies: Thanksgiving Add Ons to create the sunflower she's holding, and created a couple extra sunflowers to nest around her as she sits in front of the booth. I wanted to make a card using the new car dies from Jaded Blossom. I made my little girl gnome with a Hawaiian dress. I wanted it to be like she was going to the beach. Then I had the idea to add a flamingo floatie in the car to play with at the beach! The dies are all from Jaded Blossom and the papers are from Prima! Here's a simple card using the Fiskars Fuse, this time I used just the flower letterpress plate and not the die to cut. You can't see it in the photo but it leaves such a nice impression, really love how it looks in person. The Peachy Keen face stamp is from the In The Garden Assortment pack, I love this set. I also used the rest of the products from today's release along with "Gnome Dies" and "Rainbow Dies". I was able to make 2 card backgrounds with all of the pieces and so here is a look at both of them. Hi friends! Today marks the start of sneak peeks for the August Release at Jaded Blossom! This month our gnomes are hitting the great outdoors. I hope you'll follow along as we share our makes leading up to this Thursday's release. Today our gnomes are hitting the lake for a fishing excursion as we share our first looks at the Gnome Dies: Fishing Add Ons, Best Fishes, Best Fishes Outline Dies, and the Fish Stencil. I always seem to be running out of space on my gnome cards, so I ordered some 5 x 7 card bases and decided to try my hand at some A7 sized cards. A new size is always fun to play with! For this one, I started with a panel I smooshed with some blue, green and gray inks, then I pulled out the new Fish Stencil and stenciled over it with green ink. Next I decided I wanted to do a shaker card so the background could show through. I cut a thin rectangle from navy cardstock for the window, leaving space on the side for what I had intended to be another window using the long fish die cut in the fishing add on set, but my measuring went wrong and I had already assembled things, so moved on without it. I'll have to do one with a fish shaped shaker down the road! It sounds fun. My gnomie started with the original Gnome Dies base, then I decked him out with a fishing pole, hat and lure accent using dies from the new Gnome Dies: Fishing Add Ons. Love this hat so much. All my gnome pieces were cut from distress watercolor paper and sponged with distress inks. I added Copic accents to his beard and mustache, then added him to the front of the shaker. I finished with a sentiment from the new Best Fishes set, die cut with the coordinating Best Fishes Outline Dies. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
