One of the first DJ booths of 2024 made for @12x12.bkk. A type 1 booth with a 4-player set-up, a stick decoration belt and a walnut-stained finish on birch plywood. For this one, we made wooden stands for the CDJs, separated for crowd control. The sticks and stands are both made of Meranti solid wood. We also added some detail work around the booth to create more space for the DJs. For those unfamiliar with the venue, 12x12 is located in Bangkok and has been around for 10 years now. An absolute gem for anyone living in or visiting the city. Photo credit to our talented friend @ruirodrigues.bkk #djbooth #audiophile #dj #djfurniture #furnituredesigns
Will Kurtz' sculptures depict people he has seen around the city of New York and captured on his iPhone. He transforms his subjects into life-size works using wood and wire as a foundation. The sculptures are finished with torn newspaper, adding color, dimension and texture to the surfaces. Via Art Observer
