Rhizophora mangle (Red Mangrove) is an erect, evergreen tree often forming impenetrable thickets on salt or brackish shores. Blooming year-round, with a peak in early to mid-summer, small, yellow-green, star-like flowers, with four leathery petals, appear in clusters of 2-3 on the leaf axils.
