Hello Lovelies. I wanted to share a little look at my brand new journal. I made another A6 journal that I’m planning on using to memory keep in. So, I’ve sort of abandoned my 6×8 scrapbook for this year. I haven’t documented anything in it for a long while now. While working in my little […]
I reused an incomplete Vogue pattern on the covers of this handmade notebook. I also recycled the pattern envelope and some vintage buttons.

Hello friends. As almost all of you will know, the UK was hit by the so called Beast from the East, - icy blasts and piles of snow. It was this wintry weather that inspired this latest couple of pages
Welcome Ana! name: My name is Ana Kavcic in blog land also known as Ana K. name of your business/blog: Anina papirckalnica...translation would be, some kind of messy paper corner (even in Slovenian language it’s hard to explain). city and or country you live in? I live in beautiful Slovenia in little town Kocevje when I was a child I wanted to be? I wanted to be a dentist...funny because nowadays I'am afraid of the dentist. Five things on your desk right now? Chaos...lol...I don’t know if I am the only one, but usually I have to clean my desk few times during creating, because I can’t find scissors. Favorite guilty pleasure? In microwave melted ice cream...yeah, yeah I know... it’s strange. I’m very bad at? Singing, but I LOVE to sing...the people around me don’t fully appreciate it! Favorite movie of all time? Seven Do you collect anything? Yes, everything...especially if it’s old :) What’s your strangest talent? I hate shopping (crafting things are exception)! Do you consider that as a talent for a woman? I do :) If you got a free plane ticket to anywhere, where would you go? It is just too difficult to choose just one destination...I would like to go to New Zeeland, Ireland, Scandinavia.... and I would LOVE to go to USA to flea markets and garage sales! People here in Slovenia still don’t know how much money I could spend for their “trash” :) How did you get started in your industry? I didn’t have time to buy Christmas gifts, so I decided to bake some cookies and put it to nice boxes...I visit “uncle Google” for templates and found out scrapbooking...till then I am obsessed. Go to products that relate to your craft? Vintage finds, paper, lace, everything Tim Holtz. How do you get inspired or stay inspired? Nature and creative people from blog land. How/where can people find your work? My blog, http://anina-papirckalnica.blogspot.com/ Don't you just love the layering and texture? thank you Ana for sharing your work with us! now carry on, paula

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate. I am here with another instalment in my Junk Journal series. Today I am trying the paper napkin technique for the first time! I have watched lots of tutorials on this and decided to have a go. I may not have done it the best way but I am loving how it turned out. I bought 2 packets of paper serviettes to try out, i decided not to get the mixed selections you can buy as I wanted to have lots to practice on! I have seen some really lovely ones but to only get 4 for the price I paid for 20 was not the best option for a beginner! I am really enjoying making my first Junk Journal and so excited to be sharing it with you. I take you through the process from start to finish ...not that it is finished yet of course! It is a work in progress and I hope you will join me. I have made mistakes and I have learned from them and I have enjoyed every minute. If you missed the beginning episode 1 you can view it here :-) I will be doing this every Wednesday so do subscribe to not miss any. I have created a playlist on my YouTube channel so you can easily find all my tutorials in this series. Measurements and Materials I normally give you the measurements of my projects, but for this project this will not always be possible as it is often not precise as it involves ripping paper! The signatures in this Junk Journal are me using A4 sheets folded in half to make an A5 sized journal. I pulled apart the 3 layers of the serviette I will use all these layers don't worry about that! I applied watered down PVA to the area I wanted my serviette to stick to I placed the section i wanted on the page or tag or book page I brushed over the top with more PVA I really like the effect of the music serviette on the book page I then added the butterfly serviette on top once it was dry I stuck this directly to a page in my journal I repeated this with a half page and then adhered this to some coffee stained card stock I then used this as a belly band or pocket on a page I also used the serviettes on some tags. Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-) Video Tutorial Click below to see the video tutorial :-) Time for the closeups! Video's & Channels I have watched I have watched soooo many youtube videos about Junk Journalling but these are the ones I keep going back to. They have really inspired me to finally get started.
