CAUGHT IN YOU
1977 Margaret Keane Original Oil Canvas Painting Big Blue Eye - As a child had surgery that left her deaf for a period of time found herself staring, relied on people's eyes - eyes are how she expresses her emotions - eyes windows to the soul - can see things through the eyes - always drawn them like that.
Margaret D. H. Keane is an American artist who mainly paints women, children, and animals with big eyes. Her ex-husband Walter Keane used to sell her paintings signed with his name; she allowed him to do so because he used to sell every piece. However, Margaret Keane sued Walter in the subsequent slander suit; the judge demanded that the litigants paint a painting in the courtroom, but Walter declined, citing a sore shoulder. Wikipedia

Who is the mother of big-eye art? Margaret Keane, of course! Her poignant paintings, mass-produced as prints in the 1960s and '70s, captured the hearts of the masses and are popular once again.
