The nerd black hole is a place Jason and Shawn have visited several times during The Basement's storied history. It's a place where things become so nerdy, even the coolest people can be nerded out by how nerdy it is. Such is the case with the movies on the chopping block this week. Both involve the world of dungeons, dragons, dice and rubber-foam swords. That's right, these movies are all about role-playing, and not the kind with hot chicks and kink. First up is Knights of Badassdom, which finds a group of live-action role players conjuring up a demon by mistake. This flick has some pedigree attached, with a cast that includes Steve Zahn, Summer Glau, Ryan Kwanten and Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage. And it's not afraid to toss some blood around. But is the flick good watching? Stick with us! Then, The Basement Boys enter the realm of Zero Charisma. What's the story here? An overgrown nerd who serves as game master for a group of misfits finds his role as leader put in jeopardy when a new player joins the club. Are the results funny or sad? Time to find out. Plus, Jason sits down with Troy Foreman and James McLean, organizers of the Back to Frank Black campaign. What's Back to Frank Black? The effort to return Chris Carter's late 90s TV series Millennium to the airwaves for a proper sendoff. If you're like Jay and love the series -- which ran for more than 60 episodes and starred the great Lance Henriksen -- then this interview is for you! How can you catch the awesomeness? Tune into From Dusk Till Con Radio at 6 p.m. pacific, 9 p.m. eastern. If you can't, the podcast lands right here in The Basement soon after. House Sidus is a Tertius-grade Imperial Knight house of the Questor Mechanicus, known also by the cognomens "Scions of Ryza," and the "Shackled Knights," that has valiantly stood amongst the defenders of the Imperium of Man for millennia.
