Walking around Brooklyn the last few days, I've noticed the slightest change in the air. Autumn is beckoning and this knitter can't think of any better reward for making it through another hot summer. Any pattern questions are welcome here I can’t believe it, NOVEMBER20 marks my 10th year of designing! It closes the circle to the hoodie ‘November10’, my very first purchasable pattern 10 years ago. Thank you for the love you have shown over the past 10 years and for your ongoing support and of course for your fantastic projects (still so touching to see every single one!!) Thank you Soie et Laine for providing a sweater amount of yarn to one of the testers!!! NOVEMBER20 is worked seamlessly from the top down in stockinette stitch. You start with the yoke by increasing for a slanted contiguous shoulder. Then you divide the front sts with markers for building your sleeve caps. You then increase for the sleeves and then also for the body along the markers down to the sleeve separation. Sleeve stitches are then placed on hold, underarm stitches are cast on, and you continue to knit the body in the round to the bottom ribbing. After the body is completed, sleeve stitches are placed back onto the needles to knit the sleeve in stockinette stitch in the round. Then you picked up the neckline stitches to work the hood in Stockinette stitch. Meet Rene Crocodile 🐊 and Hector Rhino 🦏 That are the best friends! Rene Crocodile approximately 9.5” tall ( with hat) Hector Rhino is approximately 10,5” tall Story of Rene by Picapau René is a yacaré caiman born in Pantanal, Brazil, but a big part of his family is from Corrientes, Argentina, so he speaks both languages. Luckily, he’s not a football fan. René is a geographer and works as a freelancer for National Geographic and the most prestigious universities in the world. He doesn’t believe in stereotypes or the pre-established, especially in fashion or dress codes, so he wears only things that make him happy. Lately, René doesn’t go out without his blue bow tie and the party hat from his last birthday. Life really is too short to care about the tastes and tolerance issues of others. Hector Story by Picapau The first thing you’ll noticed about Hector is that he loves to be a tourist in the most touristy way: flowered T-shirts, shorts and that “vacation mode” way of living, just chilling by the pool, watching the birds fly by. As a child, Hector spent hours and hours watching the animals of the savannah, especially the oxpeckers, the birds that accompanied him everywhere he went. Now, that ability to stay still for hours and pass unnoticed as a tourist is what allows him to do his work. Hector is an ethologist you see, he studies animal behavior in their natural habitats (much like an anthropologist or sociologist, but for animals). Toys are made by me following Picapau patterns Dear buyer, I do my best to ship your order as soon as possible, no delays on my part. Please remember that delivery time can be much longer during the COVID time especially for international orders. Customs can delay the shipping times considerably - but this happens sometimes, not everytime. So be patient; orders very rarely dissapear and get lost, but sometimes are delayed. This is normal in international shipping . I purchase shipping labels and tracking is available through Etsy. I will help after shipping to track and follow up as much as I can, but delays do happen - and are not my fault. Purchase of insurance is recommended especially for international orders.
The Sofia slipover is a different length knit. It means that front is to the hips and back is below hips. Both vest sides are open but they can be sewn and you will have a closed slipover. It is worked in Stockinette stitch pattern. Front rib of the vest is narrowing to bottom however back rib is longer and worked straight. Neck and both sides are worked after knitting the main slipover piece. Sofia slipover is a simple and comfortable knit to wear on shirts or t-shirts. Koto’s futuristic drop-shoulder silhouette and high-relief texture contrast with the traditional woolen-spun loft of Shelter and Tones to create a thoroughly modern pullover. Slender articulated ribbing accentuates the dramatic short-row-shaped hem, while trim facings at collar, cuffs, and hem make for a beautifully minimalist finish.
