Bio Shetlandin raakavilla on peräisin mulesing-vapailta maatiloilta Etelä-Amerikasta. Langan värit on kehrätty käyttäen useita eri sävyjä, mikä luo kauniin meleeratun värin langalle. It's Free Pattern Friday! Today, the Starry Road Scarf in Universe. Breathtaking, isn't it? Universe (246yds/50g) is the yarn we created specifically for our tenth anniversary, and it's unlike anything else out there. A cotton/linen blend held with a metallic strand, wrapped in polyamide for greater strength, it's perfect for lacy shawls and scarves like…
Wrap up in a rustic embrace! A yarn very much of its own kind; raw, sheepy, that keeps its shape and has a smooth and dry touch. Knitted up with geometric elements, it is a down-to-earth shawl with no frills for chilly winter winds or long summer evenings on the porch. Yarn: Finkhof Merino dünn/thin, 300 m (328 yds)/100 g Yardage for sample: app. 660 m/720 yd; 220 g (2.2 hanks). All yardages are estimates. Yarn comes in hanks of 100 g. You may substitute with any sport to worsted weight yarn, preferably woolen spun, that knits up to gauge. Suggested yarn alternatives: Polo Masgot Fine, Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, Cascade Eco, De Rerum Natura Gilliat or Jamieson Aran. Please keep in mind that differences in gauge affect yardage, so make sure to have enough yarn to finish your project! Needles: 4.5 mm / US 7; circular needle, cable 80 cm/32 inches or longer Notions: 6 stitchmarkers, tapestry needle for weaving in ends, pins for blocking (optional) Gauge: 16 stitches/26 rows in stockinette stitch, after washing and blocking with relaxed fabric Size: 180 cm x 74 cm / 71 x 29 inches after blocking Thank you to all my testers for your work and the beautiful shawls that you made! Knitting pattern for Easy Peasy asymmetric shawl by Inge-Lis Holst and Katrine HannibalEasy Peasy is Önling's collection of basic patterns in Nordic design, written in a simple and beginner-friendly language - without abbreviations. We have designed the prettiest, softest and lightest asymmetrical shawl, simple and easy to knit. This design is a small, light shawl you can use to keep your neck warm, when a large shawl is too hot and too overwhelming. It is asymmetric and features the prettiest edges and a simple eyelet pattern that will catch the eye when you wear it. You can make it in one color or with stripes; it will be the perfect addition to your basic wardrobe. We have worked it in one of our most popular yarns, Önling No 2, made from sustainably manufactured Merino wool by a small family-operated manufacturer in Northern Italy, at the foot of the Italian alps.Designed by Inge-Lis Holst and Katrine HannibalSizes: OnesizeLength approx.: 240 cm Height approx.: 50 cm where widestMaterials: 150 g Önling No 2, 100% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool, 25 g = approximately 120mSuggested needles: Circl ndls 4,5 mm, 60 or 80 cmGauge: 20 sts and 40 rows (20 ridges)in garter stitch on ndl 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cmProcedure:The shawl is worked back and forth in garter stitch ridges with a simple eyelet row to break the garter stitch pattern and add symmetry to the asymmetric design. The asymmetric shape appears by increasing in all rows and decreasing on every second row. The pretty edges frame the shawl nicely. You may also want to make a stripy shawl, or work less or more eyelet rows, and you can use other materials as e.g. Önling No 1 or Silk Mohair Önling No 10 - and you can make the shawl larger or smaller, as you prefer.
It has been quite a hot summer here in Edmonton this year. We only had our first real rainy day last week! We've had more 30+ degree (Celcius... 86 F for our American friends) days than any summer on record. I wish I were at a lake or in a pool floating on an inflatable
