Hiya crafty peeps! I hope that you're having a fabulous week so far :) I'm just popping in to share the new digi release that's happening over at Some Odd Girl today- it's super fun one for all you book lovers out there- let me introduce Library Mae! Now I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks at this digi and instantly thinks 'bookmark'. But I had a special request for one that could be laminated so it's a little different than what I would normally do because there's no dimension to it at all. But I'm excited to see how it works out- who knows, maybe that's how I'll start to do all bookmarks, lol. And check out that sweet tag from Chic Tags- I got it in my grab bag from the Black Friday sale (you know as soon as you read it you'll have the song stuck in your head right? LOL). Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me- please make sure that you hop on over to the store to pick her up for yourself. And don't forget about the fab SOG Hol-Odd-Day hop that's also going on this week- all the deets can be found here. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hi All! WOW- I just have to say a gigantic 'Thank you!' to everyone for the amazing comments I've gotten and to all my new followers! And to Krista from over at Saturated Canary for the shout out since I know many of you have found your way here courtesy of the challenge blog. I've been dying to get this image, Color Me Wonderful (a freebie for subscribing to the Designed To Color magazine), on a card since I colored her up. I love Krista's images because they are so much freakin' fun to color- I mean how can you go wrong with some rockin' clothes, gorgeous hair and those huge eyes right? Plus this little sweetie is holding Copics so naturally I was in love with her from the very start, lol. I picked my color pallete based on these pretty papers from the MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up paper pad...I just love how the pink, teal and splash of yellow compliment each other. The rest of the card came together quite quickly- I just added some of my favorite things like bling and flowers; and I just picked up some of these wooden tickets from Prima so I had to add one of those for good measure :) I try not to over do it too much because in the end I want my image to shine through. I hope you like the finished card and truly, thank you again for stopping by this little blog of mine and for all the wonderful comments- they really do mean the world to me! Hi All! I hope that everyone had a great weekend- I'm so sad it's over! I had some time to do some coloring recently and had to take the opportunity to put together a pair of stamps from the new Perfect Match release over at Tickled Pink Stamps. I love the concept of making matches to stamps that were already in existence, and after seeing an inspiring line from Little Yellow Bicycle called Free Spirit I knew that the first pair I wanted to get on a card would have to be '60's Willow and Stefan. I love using digital stamps because of the versatility and this is a perfect example of that- I tried something new and actually cropped and merged the two stamps leaving a heavy black circular border that I cut along once they were colored. I'm pretty pleased with the results and will definitely try something like this again...especially since there are so many perfect matches now available at Tickled Pink! Plus, instead of only offering the digital version of the stamps for one week like usual, the owner Kellie is offering digi's for the whole month of June...Is it sad how excited that makes me? Anyways, moving on :) I hope that everyone has themselves a very groovy week! Here's the requisite close up and list of Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Hair: hers- E50,E51,E53,E55 his- E41,E44,E47,E49 Eyes: hers- BG10, BG45, BG49 his- E53, E57, E59 Clothes: hers- V12, V15, V17, G21, G28, YR00, YR07, Y15, RV21, RV25, R29 his- E30, E33, E99, Y11, Y15, YR04, YR07, R29, R59, G07, G28 I'd like to enter this is the following challenges :) Tickled Pink- Texture (canvas sentiment, flowers) Totally Gorjuss- Flower Power Papertake Weekly- Anything Goes Paper Sundaes- Girly Girl Totally PaperCrafts- Summer A Spoon Full of Sugar- Here Comes Summer Supplies: DP- Little Yellow Bicycle 'Free Spirit' and 'Boardwalk'; Canvas Sentiment Stickers- Little Yellow Bicycle 'Free Spirit'; Bling Star- KaiserCraft; Flowers- Prima; Ink- Distress Ink Orange Marmalade

Hi All! I've got a quick little card to share with you today. It's featuring a new Saturated Canary image (I know you're all shocked, lol) called Pack Light. As soon as I saw her on Krista's blog I knew I just had to have her, and even though I was in the middle of coloring another image I actually stopped just so I could do this one which is something I can honestly say I've never done before! I found some paper from the Webster's Pages Trendsetter line to pair her with and because the paper itself has so many details I didn't really want to cover much of it up so it's a pretty simple design overall. The challenge over at the Saturated Canary blog is to Bling It Out and since I'm kinda crazy about bling and pearls it wasn't too hard to incorporate some of that into my design although I kept it a little more understated than I usually do but I think it makes sense with the overall look of the finished card. My sentiment is just hand written and split between the front and the inside of the card. It's a favorite quote of mine because my sister is quite the world traveler (she'd been to 25 countries before she turned 25)- and every time I see it I think of her- "All who wander are not lost." Well, thanks so much for stopping by- I hope you like my card and that you are all having a wonderful week so far! Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R21, R30, BV34 Hair: E50, E51, E97, E99, E59 Clothes: YG11, YG13, YG17, W7, YR30, YR31, YR38, BV25, E41, E42, E44 Bags & Accessories: T3, T5, T7, R32, R35, R37, R39, BG72, BG75, BG78, V25, V28, W1, W3, W5 I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges: Saturated Canary Challenge- Bling It Out Papertake Weekly Challenge- All Things Girlie Art With No Boundries- Anything Goes Great Impressions- Best Stay in the Lines Coloring That Craft Place Challenge- Anything Goes Supplies: Cardstock- American Crafts; DP- Webster's Pages Trendsetter; Pearls- Recollections; Metal Charm- Making Memories
Hi All! Sorry for being a little MIA- I decided that I didn't want to feel any sort of stress or obligation during my little mini vaca from work so I did a TON of coloring and some crafting but just didn't pick up the laptop to blog it. Oh well, just means I've got some back stock of stuff to blog right? Well, this little cutie of a card was a special request from someone at work- she has two daughters that are celebrating milestone birthdays this month- one is turning 16 and the other is turning 18 (don't worry you'll see that card too, lol). I've gotta say this was one of the most fun cards that's ever been requested! She'd already told me that she wanted me to use this image from Saturated Canary after she saw a pic of my Beach Babe card, which I was more than happy to comply with because I love coloring this one up :) Then she told me her daughters favorite swimsuit is black with gold details so I colored the swim suit to match with my Copics and gold Spica pen. The best part of all was that her daughter loves bright florescent colors like pink, blue and green so I really got to play with some funky colors and push the envelope a little which is not normally something I get to do when I make custom cards- the papers do look a little brighter in person than how they turned out in the pics, I never can figure out how that happens, lol. Overall, looking at the finished product, I'm pretty sure my 16 year old self would have loved to get a card like this so I sure do hope she likes it- and that it helps give mom a little bit of 'cool' status for thinking of doing something special for this very special birthday! Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30, R21, BV34 Hair: E50, E51, E53, YR31, E33, E37 Clothes: T3, T5, T7, Gold Spica Bag/Accessories: RV23, RV25, RV29, E71, E74, E79, BG18, BG53, YG03, G20, T5 I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges: Craft Your Passion- Blast from the Past: #113 Chevrons Paper Pretties- Birthday Card Addicted to Stamps- Lots of Bling The Squirrel and The Fox- Anything Goes Supplies: Cardstock- American Crafts, Bazzill; DP- Echo Park Everyday Eclectic; Felt Flower Die Cut Sticker- KaiserCraft; Bling- Recollections; Flowers- Prima, Recollections; Metal Heart- Tim Holtz; Metal 'C'/Sweet sticker/Canvas Number Stickers- my stash
Hi All! I've just got a quick little card to share tonight...I've got a super sweet blogging friend Jill (you MUST go check out her blog...
Hi All! Thank goodness for 3 day weekends :) I finally got some good coloring/crafting time in and boy did I need it! I can't say I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow but I am way more recharged than I was before. One of the cards I can't wait to share is this little beauty. It's no secret that I love Kenny K images and this one called Download Diva is a particular favorite of mine...she is so much fun to color and you can really do so much with her. I paired her with a new paper pad I picked up by Lilybee Designs called Picket Fence, I just love the pretty lavender papers in it. To challenge myself a little I decided to try a new sketch challenge over at Graphicat Sketches and I encourage you to check it out...I fell in love with the sketch when I saw it and I still loved it when I got done with the card which doesn't always happen for me- all because I can't figure out how to use it to its full potential of course :) And I've got one more place I want you to check out- if you like my ticket sentiment you have to stop by the MMDesigns blog and take a look at the free digital stamp sentiments there- they are totally awesome! Well, I guess the only thing left is to say I hope this card makes you smile :) Copics- Face/Skin: E000, E00, E11, R32, BG72, BG78 Hair: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57 Clothes: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, V15, V17, V25, W0, W1, W5, W7 IPod: BG70, BG72 I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges: Graphicat Sketches Cute Card Thursday- Technology (Ipod) Stamp Something- July Digi Day Totally Papercrafts- Bing- Punch/Die Cut, Flowers, Gem Emerald Fairies- All Things Girlie All Sorts- Free & Easy Supplies: DP- Lilybee Designs Picket Fence; Cardstock- Bazill; Flowers- Prima, Recollections; Gems- Recollections; Distress Ink- Ranger Milled Lavender; Sentiment Ticket- MMDesigns
Hiya crafty peeps! I hope that everyone had a fabulous long weekend if you're here in the states :) Today marks another new challenge over at Tiddly Inks and it's a super easy one this time- Saying Thank You. We all know how essential thank you cards are so I'm happy to make some for stand by when I have time. I wanted to try something a little different this time around and do pretty much a white on white (I cheated and made the card base dark blue but creative license right?)...the white seemed pretty stark so I added some dimension by embossing it. I hope that you'll join us and play along- it's super easy just use a TI image :) And thanks for stopping by to visit me! Copics: B41, B45, B97, Y11, Y13, Y17, R22, R24, R29, R89, W0, W1, W3
Hi all! I've got a special little card to share today! My mom is a social worker for the state and there's something special happening in her department- one of her coworkers is actually adopting a little girl that her family has been fostering :) In a job where usually the workers are on the other side of things this is a wonderful reminder that there can be happy endings in even the hardest stories. So I wanted to do something special for everyone to sign their congratulations. I showed my mom a couple of different stamps that I thought might work and she picked this one from Tiddly Inks, aptly named Celebrate Joyfully, as the one that most resembled the little girl so I colored her up with my Copics to match some papers from MME. I just wanted it to be bright and cheerful- something that would mirror the joy everyone feels at this special occasion. So thanks for stopping by to take a peek- I hope that you all enjoy it it too! Copics: Skin- E0000, E000, E00, E11, R30, R21, BV34 Hair- E50, E51, E53, E35, E57, E59 Clothes- RV21, RV23, RV25, RV29, RV99, E81, E87, E89 Flowers- Y32, Y35, Y38, YR24, YR27 I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges: Celebrate the Occasion- Spring is in the Air Bunny Zoe's Crafts- Girly MarkerPop- Spring Bling Supplies- Cardstock- Bazzill; DP- MME Unforgetable; Flowers- Prima; Sentiment Sticker- Jillibean Soup; Hearts- Pink Paislee; Bling- Michaels
Hi All! Well, a little while ago I got the most wonderful email from Christy Croll, the amazing owner and illustrator of Tiddly Inks, and Melissa, her DT coordinator, asking if I would like to participate in the Tiddly Inks 2 Year Anniversary celebration as a special guest- let me tell you I could not reply fast enough with a loud and excited 'Yes!' :) It's so exciting for me to participate as a Tiddly Inks image was the first digital stamp I ever purchased and their challenge was the first I ever entered when I started my blog...so Tiddly Inks holds a special place in my heart for sure. We were given the theme- Frame the Moment- and allowed to pick an image to work with...I looked and looked through the shop trying to narrow down my choices and finally settled on the gorgeous image called 'You and Me' (I'm totally not embarrassed to admit that the others on my list still found their way into my cart along the way, lol). I colored my image with Copics, of course, and then put together a soft and somewhat simple wedding card which then, to go along with the theme, was framed as a keepsake. I hope you enjoy my project and don't forget to stop by the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog to continue the celebration with the other amazing guests- it's been a jaw dropping month already so I can't wait to see what else is in store :) Happy Anniversary Christy! Here's wishing you many more! Hi All! When I saw this pop up in my Dashboard from Kellie Winnell's blog I couldn't resist dropping by to see her Top 10 as I pretty much love every thing she makes :) And I thought it would be fun to participate in her little linky party too and share my Top 10 of 2011 with all of you! So here they are in no particular order, clicking on the card will take you to the post... I loved coloring up this Kenny K Image This was the first card that I won a challenge with :) This was the first time I really got depth in the skin tone Fairies, Flowers and Bling :) Love this image Copica from Saturated Canary- she's even holding Copics! One of my Christmas favorites I love the skulls on this little cutie from Tickled Pink Stamps The first Some Odd Girl I ever colored up One of my first Design Team cards ever! What can I say? I love it all!

Hi All! I've got a unique retirement card to share with you tonight...it features a gorgeous image called Boobie Love that Krista over at Saturated Canary has kindly given away (check the link for more info). Now these types of images are always on the top of my must have list because I work in the Breast Care Services department of one of our large local hospitals so I always have plenty of opportunities to put them to good use. And one of those opportunities just happens to be a co-workers retirement- the truly unique part about this card is that not only is she retiring from her work in Breast Care Services but she's also a two time Breast Cancer survivor...so I really wanted to make her card something special. I colored my image to match some papers from MME and then went all out girlie on this one- and used tons of pink of course! I hope that she likes it and, most of all, I hope that retirement allows her to do all the things she's always wanted to :) Copics: Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R21, R30, BV34 Hair: E21, E34, E37, E39, E59 Clothes: R81, R83, R85, E41, E42, E43, E44, E49, W0, W1, W3 I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges: MarkerPOP- Hair Coloring Great Impressions- Show Your Best Stay in the Lines Coloring One Stitch At A Time- Use a Digi The Ribbon Girl- Create a Girlie Card Supplies: Cardstock- American Crafts, Bazzill; DP- MME Lost & Found; Flowers- KaiserCraft, Prima; Ribbon & Metal Sentiment- my stash

Hi All! I've got a non traditional Christmas card to share with you all tonight :) One of the fun things about making custom cards for sale is that often I get to work with a theme that I might never have the need for in my personal life but that is a special request from someone for the people in their life. This happens to be one of those cards...the request was for a cute motorcycle girl with short red hair on a Christmas card. Now sometimes these special requests send me on a goose chase to find an appropriate stamp but luckily as soon as I heard the request I knew I had just the stamp from Kenny K- let me introduce you to Spy Chick- isn't she the coolest?!? I colored her up with my Copics to match some fun patterned from Doodlebug Designs. I know this may not be the traditional Christmas card but isn't it fun when you can make a holiday card that doesn't have a 'holiday' stamp on it? I sure had fun- and from the sounds of it the biker girl that was the receiver of this card thought it was pretty cool so I would say mission accomplished! Thank you so much for stopping by to visit and take a look and if I don't get the chance to say it later I want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday- I hope it brings joy and happiness to you all! Copics: Skin- E000, E00, E11, R30, R21, BV34 Hair- E95, E99, YR18, E59 Clothes- T0, T1, T3, T5, T7, T9, R02, R29, R89 Motorcycle- T0, T1, T3, T5, T7, T9, 100, R02, R27, R29, R89 I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges: Diva's by Design- Anything Goes Celebrate the Occasion- Christmas Anything Goes Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge- Anything Goes Supplies: Cardstock- Bazzill; DP- Doodlebug Designs North Pole; Bling- Recollections; Flowers- Prima; Twine- Jillibean Soup; Charm- Tim Holtz
Hi All! Boy, I don't know if you've missed me but I've missed you :) Some changes in my world- like a promotion at work!- have kept me from getting too crafty lately but I finally managed to find the time to take a seat in my craft room and get some cards done... Ever since I saw this image, Violet Vintage, for the first time by Krista over at Saturated Canary I've been absolutely dying to get my hands, and Copics, on her! I'm so in love with her hair and those huge glasses on that cute little face that I decided to do the 'big head' look and have some real fun coloring. I paired her up with some pretty soft papers from the MME Be Happy line and think it's the perfect compliment. Because the card making was a little rusty I set out to find a sketch that could get me started and came across the beautiful one for the week over at Deconstructed Sketch which caught my eye with it's banner taking centerstage...I love me some banners lately, lol! As usual I threw some of my favorite embellishments on there to balance it out and called it good. And I was glad to find that the card making skills didn't completely disappear during my absence :) Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R30, R21. Hi all! You know those times when you need just a quick little card? Like one of the '15 minutes or less variety'? Yeah, I'm not so good at those, lol :) But I'm trying so when I found myself in need of one it was kind of a personal challenge to see how I could do. I decided that it would probably help if I made a smaller card- less space equals less time figuring out what the layout will be and how I can incorporate the different papers and embellishments that I love so much. It seemed to work too- I truly only spent about 15 minutes putting this one together- once I'd done the coloring of course- and I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm sure I'll be back to my normal 6x6 cards with lots of bling and flowers in no time but it's definitely good to step outside your comfort zone every now and then :) Thanks for stopping by to take a peek - I hope that you like it as well! Hiya crafty peeps! It's been a while since I've colored up a Saturated Canary stamp so when I got a card order and the person specifically wanted Cali Girl I was super excited to get started! It was a fun one with some special requests like a camo bikini and some sort of horse incorporation which I was able to do with the paper. Ultimately I really just got to go all out with the girlie stuff and make it a super special 21st birthday card which I hope she loves :) Thanks for stopping by to visit me in my little piece of blogland- I hope you've enjoyed your stay! I've been coloring up a storm but haven't had much time to make cards this week...I'm looking forward to the holiday to get some crafty time in :) I had this simple little card sitting on my computer and just hadn't blogged it yet so I figured now was as good as time as any right? So today I made my roommate her very own DIY Chandelier. I did the DIYing for her which is ok becuase I love to do this stuff! I got the idea from Brassy Apple (tutorial here )ok so here is what the finished project looks like: I made one for myself only its black and silver: ANYWAY, I'm going to tell you the step by step ways to make this fun chandelier! ok so here is what you will need: -4 hanging flower baskets (got mine at Deals) -Mardi Gras beads (had mine left over from Mardi Gras but the dollar store should have some) -tear drop shaped crystal beads (from Michaels) -Large tear drop crystal (Michaels) -wire (I used black 20 gage wire) -wire cutters -hot glue gun -jump rings -optional: spray paint for if you want the black baskets to be a different color Step 1: lay out your baskets like this: just pull the chains to the side. connect the two baskets with the black wire Step 2: pull the chain on basket #3 through the bottom of the basket like so: then use the black wire to connect basket 3 on top of the other two baskets: Step 3: flip the 3 connected baskets over and take basket #4 and set it on the top of the 3 and use the wire to connect them: I was a bad first timer and forgot to take more pictures of the steps. just go to the link above to help you understand better if needed to. Step 4: after they are all connected, flip back over and hang up somewhere the you can finish decorating. (picture above from Brassy Apple ) Step 5: take the hanging hooks and hang them on the side of the bottom basket, and remove the very bottom hook. this is where you will attach the large crystal: Step 6: now its time to have fun decorating! you can decorate how ever you want. Use the hot glue gun to glue what ever colored beads you want on to the baskets. here is what mine looks like up close so you can see the detail: Step 7: Time to hang it! here again is the finished project! this is such a fun item to add to any bedroom or, in my roommates case, dining room! hope this was some what easy to understand! if you have any questions feel free to ask me =)

This was such a fun quilt. A month ago, Sherry brought me this Kaffe Fassett Fruit Salad (pattern from the book Quilts en Provence) quilt. Oh, I love this summery quilt! It's a big quilt too, 84" x 93". So, it was difficult to get a full shot. Sherry chose to have it quilted with all-over free motion swirls...perfect choice. I used Isacord thread in apricot...a thread color that goes nicely with the whole fruit salad theme. Sherry, thank you so much for letting me quilt for you! Happy Stitching,

Hi All! For those in the US I hope that you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving :) I had a fabulous day filled with family, excellent food and lots of loud laughter- there really is nothing better! I'd like to share a project that has kind of become a tradition between me and one of my dad's. You see, he used to decorate for every holiday and Thanksgiving was no exception, but my sister and I always gave him a hard time because the decorations weren't the 'cute' kind but more along the lines of 'realistic' and I think we can all agree- real turkeys are not the prettiest animals :) So I started making him cards that he could put out as decoration that could counter balance those decorations that we made fun of. It's a fun little tradition and I have such a blast making pretty little things for him to display. This year I made a sign featuring one of the new Saturated Canary images called Princess Harvest and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! And he must have felt the same because the instant he got it he hung it on the door for all to see :) The fun traditions that my family and I have for the holidays just remind me again and again of all the things I'm so thankful for- a close and loving family, having the security of a roof over my head and food in my cupboards and getting to share the things I love with those around me. Thanks for stopping by to visit- I'm also so thankful for this wonderful blogging community that I feel blessed to be a part of! Hi All! I've gotta tell ya I've been busy because my sister and my grandma are going to be coming into town this week! I'm so excited because my grandma's had some health issues and hasn't been able to travel to see us in almost 3 years and now she's not only going to be here but she'll be here for Easter! So, of course, I had to make her a super special Easter card for the occasion. And luckily I was looking at the April release of stamps over at Wee Stamps and came across this absolutely adorable digi image named Easter Bunny. Now, I'm not normally one who does the super sweet images- I like a little bit of an edge most of the time- but sometimes you just need a little 'cute' you know? Plus, I had these amazing new papers from Echo Park that I picked up in a 6x6 pad at my local scrapbooking store (Stampers and Scrappers Delight- hi my lovely ladies!) and the bright colors worked perfectly! I'm so excited to give it to my grandma- I think she'll just love it and the best part for me is I get to give it to her in person! Hi All! Boy, every time I think I can't possibly get busier Mr. Murphy hears a challenge and decides to throw a little more at me :) I've been making cards like crazy but don't seem to ever have the time to sit down and post them...but that changes right now! I've had this little beauty just waiting patiently for her little piece of blog space and am finally getting my bum into gear and making it happen. I have a few people who order birthday cards throughout the whole year by sending me an email around the 1st of the month with how many they need for that month and any special ideas for how they'd like it to look. As a result I'm always drawn to birthday images because I know I'll need lots of them and I always try to keep things fresh and new. Enter this gorgeous digi stamp from Mo Manning over at Mo's Digital Pencil called Veronica- she just looks like shes having a blast no? I colored her with my Copics of course and then used some 6 x 6 papers from My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink collection...the bright colors seemed to suit her and I love the banners! Now as long as the person who receives this has as good of a time as Veronica seems to be having I think the birthday celebration will have been a success! Hi All! So, I've been thinking about doing something for quite some time now but have been a little afraid...but I've decided it's time to just go for it. So I took a leap of faith and got all my ducks in a row and put together a coloring video! It's nothing too fancy, and I took the easy way out this first time and just did a speed coloring one so I didn't have to try to talk and color at the same time, lol. Part of my hesitation is that I have a hard time believing that anyone would even want to watch little old me color so this is kind of a trial run. Since I'd just colored a 'big head' version of Violet Vintage from Saturated Canary I thought she'd be a great place to start and I wasn't sure how long the video would take me so I only showed how I colored her face. I really just hope that you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by and paying me a visit :) Image- Violet Vintage from Saturated Canary Music- Catch My Breath by Kelly Clarkson
