Hi blogging buddies! Woohoo,, it is the weekend! Today Frosted Designs is sponsoring the challenge at Scrap Our Stash blog. We have a very fun sketch with a twist for you to play along with: use heart PP, and at least one each prepackaged heart and arrow embellishment. Here is a look at my layout I have used the new MME Valentine line, Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold, Technique Tuesday chipboards, and Maya Road alphas. I fussy cut the 3 hearts on the left from one sheet of heart patterned paper. For my prepackaged heart I am using the two large chipboard hearts from Technique Tuesday. I covered them with papers from the same line. I also added some die cut stickers. Here is the sketch we are working with from Scrap Our Stash You must also use 1 Heart PP, and at least one each prepackaged Heart and Arrow embellie. Be sure to hop over to the blog and see all the fun. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi everyone, it's Pam here sharing my assignment about generations and a sketch to go along with my page. Scrapbooking the gene...
Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm going to share a few sketches and layouts with you. I love having layout sketches available ... especially when I'm suffering from layout block. My husband bought me a few Page Patterns books for Christmas one year and I use them often. But, to be honest, you really don't need a book or magazine full of page patterns. There are tons of scrapbook layout sketches on the web! And so many on Pinterest that you could probably fill more than one board with single and two page layout sketches. Anyway .... I created one sketch to share with you today then thought it would be fun to create a few layouts with sketches I found on Pinterest. This is the sketch I created for today's post: The base of my layout is beige from the Shades of Neutral paper pack. I used paper from the Be Bold & Flourish paper pack for the rest of the layout. I love the way the Be Bold & Flourish colors compliment the flower photos on this page. Here are three fun scrapbook layout sketches I found on Pinterest and the layouts I created from them. As you will see, I didn't interpret all of these sketches precisely. But that's the beauty of having a sketch to get you started ... you can interpret it any way you like. You'll find these sketches and so many more on our Pinterest board, Page Layout Sketches. My first sketch is from Scrapbook Circle and uses 3 vertical photos: I created my layout on a white refill page but you could also use white cardstock if you prefer. The rest of the layout was created with papers and slide-in cards from the Sunshine Getaway line. The flags and the bar at the top of the flags were cut from one Sunshine Getaway slide-in card (love, love, love slide-in cards!!). My next sketch for 4 photos is by Jana Eubank: I used the Strut Your Stuff paper pack and slide-in cards for this layout. The title, journal card and blue tag were cut from a slide-in card. I used my personal cutter to cut the little one inch square on the bottom. You could also substitute a horizontal journal box for the horizontal picture and add a third square photo instead of a square journal box. My last sketch for three 3" x 5" photos is by Juliana Michaels: The Happy and You Know It Slide-In pack and the coordinating Bright Paper Pack is one of my favorite Creative Memories collections (okay .... most of them are my favorites!). The 4 inch squares used here are from one sheet of paper from the Bright Paper Pack. I just turned two of the squares to the opposite side. The title was cut from a Happy and You Know It slide-in card. I cut the squares from scraps and mimicked the doodling around the title on my squares. I then adhered everything to the page and walla! Another page done in just a few minutes. There you go. I hope these sketches and layouts inspire you to try some sketches yourself. They really are a lot of fun and a great time saver too. Don't forget to visit our Scrapbook Layout Sketches board on Pinterest. I was just over there and found a few more sketches I want to try out. For more information about the Creative Memories products used in today's layouts, visit your advisor's website. Of course, if you don't already have a Creative Memories Advisor, I'd be more than happy to be your personal Creative Memories Advisor. I taught a double layout workshop to 20 lovely lovely ladies in the lovely lovely city of a thousand spires - Prague! Thank you to PaperoAmo for the invitation to teach! The calm before the storm :) Papero Amo brought some supplies from their online shop and set them up all cute. Looking out the window into the cute patio. Here is the layout we made first: GRUMPY GUS by Paige Evans Cutting! Piecing! Pasting! It's so fun to use my art teaching degree - even if it isn't "fine arts" :) For lunch I went with a couple of gals around the corner to a pub cafe. I ordered some fajitas. When in Prague! We were far from the city center, but apparently every part of Prague is absolutely breathtaking! After lunch we worked on the second layout: SO LOVED by Paige Evans Such a wonderful day with lots of fun memories made! On the drive home there was a spectacular sun ray show. There's a quote that goes something like: Every time an artist dies, God lets them paint the sky. Love that! A fantastic ending to a fantastic day.

Here is another layout that we made at Crop & Create in Cornwall last weekend called "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" featuring a hand cut title and my Pick-Me-Up collection! Trim the colorful hearts strip from Paper 01 and adhere it across the top of the B-side of Paper 14 with the stripes of monochromatic blues and aquas. Cut a two inch square from the yellow patterned B-side of Paper 01, the colorful bows Paper 03, the yellow B-side of Paper 07, the pink/blue floral B-side of Paper 08, the colorful stripes of Paper 16, the pink ombre hearts B-side of Paper 16, the purple floral Paper 17, the pink script B-side of Paper 17, the watermelon Paper 18, the yellow/ blue “x” B-side Paper 18, the pink striped B-side of Paper 19, the colorful geometric Paper 21, the floral bird Paper 23, and the ombre pink B-side of Paper 23. Free-hand cut one letter from each two inch paper square to create the title I LOVE YOU. If you are uncomfortable free-handing it, you could draw the letter with a pencil first and then cut it out and erase any leftover pencil marks. Find the middle of the background – six inches in and six inches down, then adhere the “O” with dimensional adhesive. Use the “O” as a starting point, place the rest of the letters, one word per colored strips of the background, centered & using dimensional adhesive. Add a 3 x 3 ½” photo to the bottom left and top right sides, tucking them under the letters if necessary. Starting at the top, fussy cut “SMILE” from Paper 13 with all the sentiments in banners and tags, then tuck it under the right side of the “I” and place dark blue Mini Foam Thickers for the year on the left. Embellish embellish embellish as shown using fussy cut images and Rub-Ons! SUPPLIES: PICK-ME-UP: Paper 01, Paper 03, Paper 07, Paper 08, Paper 14, Paper 16, Paper 17, Paper 18, Paper 19, Paper 21, Paper 23, Rub-Ons, Mini Thickers
