Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin during Led Zeppelin in Concert at Chicago Stadium - 1-20-1975 at Chicago Stadium in Chicago, Illinois, United States.
This black and white vintage photograph features the legendary psychedelic rock band, Led Zeppelin, on their visit to Chateau Marmont. Allegedly during their stay, Zep's drummer, John Bonham, drove a Harley (his 25th birthday present) through the hallway of the hotel. This image features the entire band sitting on the steps of the Chateau Marmont, with a few band members looking off to the right. This is a limited edition fine art C-Print, hand numbered out of an edition of 125 with an accompanying certificate of authenticity. Both Print and Certificate have matching sequentially numbered tamper proof holographic seals.
The fourth album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin was released on 8 November 1971. No title is printed on the album, so it is generally referred to as Led Zeppelin IV, following the naming standard used by the band's first three studio albums. Upon its release, Led Zeppelin IV was a commercial and critical success. The album is one of the best-selling albums in history at 37 million units. In 2003, the album was ranked 66th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The 19th century rustic oil painting on the front of the album was purchased from an antique shop in Reading, Berkshire by Robert Plant. The painting was then juxtaposed and affixed to the internal, papered wall of the partly demolished suburban house for the photograph to be taken.
