I would think twice about ducking through mike m.‘s narrow street, no matter how much of a hurry I was in. Piles of overflowing trash clutter the thin lane, and the myriad of signs hanging uncomfortably at head height do a wonderful job of making the place look just too unwelcoming for my taste. What […]

Think you like Lego? So what do you say about the people who built these models? I have collected you simply breathtaking photos of super-large models. The models are realy big, and yet wonderfully paying attention to the small details, any other model you put near them will simply look like a children's game. Hope you
There’s just something about the worlds of Hayao Miyazaki that inspire LEGO builders to new heights. This Howl’s Moving Castle by O-SAWA may be my favorite yet. From battleship turrets and chicken feet to houses and a big orange tongue, O-SAWA’s castle has it all. Via twee affect.

I spent a lot of time building scale models as a kid. One that I vividly remember was called Flap Jack by Monogram. I don't know why, but this latest radical aircraft by Jon Hall reminds me of that. But even if it didn't I think I'd be smitten with this master of the skies. I can't decide if I love

Do you remember good old LEGO Designer Sets from 2004-05? Besides the main build, each of them featured a thick ideas book full of alternative models. To be honest, not all of those models were top-class, but the joy of building not one, but 50 different robots or cars was overwhelming. Serge S shows us […]

This build is the definition of NPU (Nice Part Usage)! Builder @kris_kelvin_ on Instagram uses an amazing variety of parts to capture the texture of a coral reef! From minifigure hair and headgear, to hot dogs and leaves, the build feels like a game of I SPY! We tried our best to call out some of our favourite parts used—some of which are exceedingly rare! We also pointed out some of the techniques used including an approach to colour that can be useful for any kind of build. Which part of the b
The gentle giant from Horizon Zero Dawn in full scale. It walks in circular areas acting as a communication center, not aware of its surroundings. No attack will stop it, slow it, stagger it or make it alter its path. This model brought different building challenges: first the round head and how to support it. The neck is made by a straight technic structure but my intent is to give some bending effect using the frontal armor plates. Also there are many tubes and cables trying to resemble the original look. As usual I’ve tried to keep a balance between the technic frame and system bricks for the external details. Parts: about 5823 Height: about 90 cm Like the Thunderjaw, this model has been designed checking that all the parts exist in the exact color, but (at the moment) there aren’t building intructions for big models like this. Whether on our Facebook page, Twitter, or requests to each of our contributors individually, I’d guess that fully 99% of the LEGO Ideas projects we’re asked to throw our weight behind are not original ideas born of the project owner’s own imagination, built in LEGO with their own talent and skill. This is why we, […]
