VINTAGE LETRATONE SCREENTONE STICKER ADHESIVE FILM Screentone is a technique for applying textures, tints and shades to drawings as an alternative to cross hatching and is traditionally used in manga art. Screentone is not 'instant rub on' like instant lettering. It consists of a self-adhesive acetate sheet / sticky back plastic; when using the screentone the paper backing is removed and the remaining sheet with the design sticks on the surface. The image is cut to the shape and size needed for the project. Ideal for papercrafts, artworking and illustration. Letraset sheet size: 25 x 38cm (photos show close up) Chartpak usable size: 22.6 x 33cm Normatone : 29 x 19cm Choose your pattern from the drop down menu. ★ INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE CHOOSE THE 'TRACKING' OPTION IF YOU WANT TO TRACE YOUR ITEM, THANK YOU! ★ HOW TO TRANSFER - (I also advise to search online tutorials for application techniques.) 1) Cut the tone larger than you require using a scalpel or knife. 2) Smooth onto artwork and cut around area required. 3) Peel back excess film, this can be returned to the backing sheet and re-used later. 4) Many effects can be achieved by overlaying tones of different types and colours. 5) Place the sheet, printed side down on artwork and burnish down area required. 6) To transfer exact areas, trace an outline on tracing paper and to lay the trace over the sheet, then burnish. 7) Interesting effects can be achieved by overlaying different tones and colours. 8) Unwanted areas and mistakes can be removed using masking tape or a scalpel if the art surface is suitable.
