I am still exploring my new goodies from the new catalogue and it is so much fun! Everything is available to purchase now in my online store. All that new DSP in particular is so pretty, it's a challenge to play with just one at a time. For my project this week I was looking for something that would really showcase the beautiful Garden Lane paper, and I found just the thing: a mini album! This mini album is the perfect size for the wallet-sized school pictures you get every year. And because it is such a neutral background it will help those photos stand out! This album is a fun zig-zig shape, which means you can say goodbye to all of those tough binding options you've seen in other albums, and get all the real estate you need with ease. I followed this great tutorial by Kay, and I think the design is so cool. And it would be easy to make this in bigger dimensions to fit other sized photos as well. Basically you score alternating ends of the pages so they "flip" easily, and then glue them all together and decorate. Super simple! And I ended up with six double-sided pages to display my photos, in one sturdy little book. As I mentioned, I used all of the Garden Lane DSP options to decorate my mini book. The dimensions worked well to get the little strips of DSP for the "binding' pieces and one "page" background from one 5.25 x 4.0 piece of DSP. Waste not, want not! I added a couple little pockets to the album as well (as seen in the tutorial) and tucked in a few little tags for journaling. For the cover I used the beautiful Stitched Nested Labels and the largest image from the Free as a Bird stamp set, coloured with Blends. I love that this paper looks great with a variety of the new stamp sets, allowing for more diversity in my projects. Here's a closer look: The album is closed with the White Linen Ribbon in the Magnolia Lane combo pack--I can tell that this will be a favourite too. :) I am thinking about offering this as an event this summer--let me know if you would be interested in creating your own mini album! Have a good week, Barb

Hi, I'm here to announce my winner of the Tag Book Pop Up Die Set!! Drum Roll..... The Winner is ( lynnl said... I love everything about this tag book! November 18, 2017 at 5:21:00 AM PST Please email me your address at [email protected] and I'll get it out to you!!! I was excited a few weeks ago when I was in Mesa at the Stamp Convention and saw this ADORABLE Rubbernecker Skater Boy!! I knew Noah was going to love him on his Birthday card this year. (He was probably getting tired of having the same skater on his cards as I only owned one before this :) Anyhow here is the front of the Tag Book Pop Up using the dies by Karen Burniston I made for him for his 7th Birthday! And the card opened up: Another View And a few close ups..... The other exciting thing is my little brother bought me a Brother Scan N Cut 2 and I was able to cut this cute skateboarder out on my machine :) as there is no die for this stamp. My hands have been really bothering me lately so saving them from having to use scissors is a huge deal..... I'm just hoping I will always be able to color. Supplies I used are linked below, Thank You for stopping by today! Hope you have a Wonderful Day! XOXO Kelly

Hello Everyone! Today I'm sharing with you the 4th in the File Folder Scrapping series! I think each unit I make gets better and better. For this folder I used Kaisercraft's Limelight paper kit. Two packs actually, but I have enough left to make something more with it. The folder has four magnetic closure spots, and can hold a lot of photos! The paper would lend itself well to photos of vacation, camping, hiking, gardening, graduation, tropical, family reunion, and more. So here we go! This is what it looks like from the front... ...and from the back... ...and in the box holder with the others. Now for the inside! Lifting up the envelope flaps on each side reveals three accordion-like pockets holding photo tags. When we close the envelope flaps again, we can lift up the flap that they are on to reveal... ...two center panels for photos and journaling. But there's more... These panels are actually center folded pages tucked under. So when we unfold them we reveal layout variations! See them as I unfold them creating different layout configurations. I didn't take photos of the tags in the pockets, but if you want to see a few more details you can watch this video walk-through of the project. Hope you enjoyed today's posted project and are inspired to use this gorgeous paper by Kaisercraft. The instructions for this project are available on my other blog, Paper Architecture with Sabrina if you are interested in making this project. Happy Papercrafting!
