The nighttime images are devoid of human life, and are each cast in an aquamarine glow from the surrounding streetlights. The included works were shot over the course of two consecutive nights in the Irish town, however Wojtas’ goal is to expand the series to include a variety of locations which will meld to form a similar atmosphere. A metal print is a captivating, contemporary way to display photographs; this print was made on a sheet of polyester-coated aluminum, allowing an image transfer via dye sublimation-- the process by which dyes turn to gas when heated, after which they transfer to the metal print and solidify. The end result is a visually clean, modern image with rich colors and a low-glare, white satin finish. Ready to hang.
The lakes of the Adirondacks were loaded with water lilies, something I am not use to paddling around. I tried for a different perspective by shooting underwater up through the lily pads as the sun rays shined through. ----- July 29th to August 2nd, my brother and I kayaked the first map of the the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, Old Forge to Long Lake in the Adirondacks of New York. It was an incredible adventure through a pond, 11 lakes, a boggy marsh and 1 river. We set up primitive camping each night in different locations, Seventh Lake, Raquette Lake, Forked Lake and Raquette River. I used two cameras through the journey, a waterproof point and shoot and my Nikon DSLR. Become a Fan on Facebook! PLEASE NOTE: All Rights are Reserved.
