Hand printed ribbon bow lino print, A6 size (10.5x14.8cm), using high quality Caligo ink
Hello there! Been a while since my last post, life has been busy and full of change! I've decide to resume posting here & look forward to sharing what's been happening at the shop. To catch up on shop goings-on over the past few months I've been away, I have been posting pretty regularly to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Flickr! Some new prints there to see that I'll catch up with sharing eventually...and more to come! Give a follow on any of those platforms & stay up to date with Tugboat's day-to-day. The "BOWING FLOWER" (above) is brand new to the T.B.P.S. shop in the past week or two; a quick release and a faster style of making that I'm eager to embrace! The finished print is 10" x 9", inked in classic black and printed from the woodblock to natural Kitakata paper. A summer blossom arches into a deep bow; a graceful flow of curving lines. "BOWING FLOWER" is an original woodblock print by Valerie Lueth, 2017. Limited edition is 200--copies are going fast! More information and purchase details on Etsy and in Tugboat's Shop!
'Java Jive', Hand Pulled Linocut Print, 2021 size - 9x12 inches I mean, everyone loves coffee right? This is a handcarved linocut print depicting an Italian coffee pot, a small cup of espresso and some coffee beans on the table. I am blessed to go to Italy each year with my students, and my purchase of one of these small pots has brought me nothing but joy (let's bring some joy to your life too!) Keep in mind that this is a hand printed image so there will be slight marks and variations. This is also a hand numbered edition of 100, so your number may vary! Each print has my hand written signature in the bottom right corner. A little about me: I am a working artist who is also an associate professor of painting and printmaking and department chair at High Point University in North Carolina. My undergraduate and graduate degrees in art are from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with additional graduate work at Johnson State University in Vermont. I have also completed several artist residencies, including Vermont Studio Center and SCUOLA di ARS GRAFICA in Venice, Italy. My works have been shown nationally and internationally. Recent exhibitions include the Blue Mountain Gallery in NYC, San Diego Museum of Art and Savannah College of Art and Design. I’ve also shown my work in the UK, Italy, France, Germany and China.

Iron-on linocut (block printed) canvas patch. Has paper backing attached to preserve iron on backing. Peel off the paper and iron on the patch - very simple! I love the different stages in the process of linoprinting: from the creative stages of translating my observational drawings into a design, to the physical carving of the lino, and finally to the magical revelation of the finished print! Kathleen Neeley’s linocut prints are infused with varying cultures across time, yet feel wholly contemporary in reflection. The artist looks at our relationship to the Earth, femininity, and other personal subjects while maintaining the elements and motifs of myths.
