Unique Live Edge Walnut River Slab This walnut tree started its life over 150 years ago in the village of Sturton, near Gainsborough. The tree was situated in a large farming family orchard, which due to its size was the playground of many young children. One of the stories passed down the generations was during one of the harvest months, a full-size Bull was discovered with his horns wedged in the trees trunk, to free the Bull it took the effort of several locals. 150 years later, the decision to fell the tree was taken due to it becoming too large, even damaging the nearby property during a storm. Felled in 2016 and cut into large slabs and left to air dry. Using both traditional and new woodworking methods, I am able to offer you a unique and timeless piece of furniture that will be an amazing addition to any traditional, contemporary or modern room. Every effort has been made to ensure this piece is handmade and hand finished to the highest of standards. This will be one of a kind, you will not find one anywhere in the world that is the same.
