About Bloodroot start to bloom before the foliage unfolds in early spring common in the upper Midwest of the United States. After blooming, the leaves unfurl to their full size as seen in this bronze sculpture by Sylvia Beckman. Made with the ancient lost wax method, a process dating back to the 3rd millennium BC, in which the bloodroot leaves are carved in wax then set in clay. The wax is then melted and drained out leaving a cavity into which the molten bronze is poured. Then a patina is applied by hand giving the sculpture its own uniqueness. Welcome to our new blog post series—’look we’re loving’! In these posts we will feature and talk in detail about interior design and decor looks we’re really loving. Today we’re talking about something I would really love to do in our laundry room when we get around to remodeling it—brick flooring.

Yellow becomes the main color to beautify most of the modern interior elements in this apartment. This color is used to highlight the furniture, wall, and lighting. Another natural color comes from the wooden material installed on the floor. The yellow and white are combined together to create a color variation which is fun to see.
About Dainelli Studio, owned by the creative duo of Leonardo and Marzia Dainelli, designs JANNIS, a collection of upholstered furniture that are eminently suitable for contract use. Two and three-seater sofa and lounge chair, with judicious dimensions and slim proportions. Jannis is defined by a contemporary rigour that draws inspiration from the past, revealing its personality in the details: the wooden structure, lightweight to the eye but solid, holds the single seat cushion and the backrest, and is characterized by the metal feet with a brass finish of the feet. The front leg rises to define the thin profile of the armrest and closes in the semi-circular tip, again with a brass finish. The frame and legs are connected by steam-curved beech wood arches, an element of continuity with the heritage of Gebrüder Thonet Vienna.
