Images of women on the cross have long been considered blasphemous by many Christians. But now feminist theologians view them as a commemoration of an oft-ignored history of female martyrdom, writes Rachael Kohn.

St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Mediatrix of Grace This vintage holy card from 1867 addresses Mary as “St. Mary of the Sacred Heart,” and the short prayer underneath says, “Through your hands, O, Holy Mother, we are flooded by Jesus' grace.” This lovely French card is not only beautiful but also instructive. It illustrates Mary receiving grace from Jesus and pouring it upon us. Some say that Mary as Mediatrix brings all grace to the world, and others say she only brings some. But either way, whatever she has, it all comes from her Son, our Lord Jesus. The Bouasse-Lebel Printing Company was started by Mrs. Eulalie (Lebel) Bouasse in 1845 in Paris, France, and specialized in Catholic Holy Cards. They were in business for 120 years. We think this holy card was a hand painted engraving just before the widespread use of lithographs. Image is smaller than the paper!! See below! ** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt. – Acid-free paper – Archival pigments, rated to last for generations. – Cardboard backer – Above story of the art – Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag. Mary Magdalene sits at the foot of the cross, giving everything she has left to console her Lord. Her affection and her love must have consoled the heart of Jesus so much all throughout His life, but especially right at the most painful moments in the crucifixion. Jesus consoles our hearts too. He is with us in suffering and in our pain.

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. When the long-awaited time arrives, Jesus Christ will descend from the heavens in great clouds of glory, just as prophesied. Illuminating the skies as all people of the world stand in awe as the Savior of man returns on Earth to dwell. His radiant aura will envelope the planet, casting away darkness and filling the hearts of men with hope and joy. His return will mark the ultimate fulfillment of divine promises, a moment when all nations, creeds, and tongues will unite in acknowledgment that he is the Messiah, returned to redeem and restore, offering salvation to all who would accept His boundless love and grace.
History Of The Virgin Mary's Fast The Fast of Virgin Mary, began by the famous story of Thomas the Apostle. After his return from a missionary in india, he asked the Apostles about Virgin Mary. They told him that she had died. He asked them to show him where they buried her. They went with him to the grave, but they found the tomb empty. Thomas the Apostle recounted that during his return, he saw the angels carrying the body of the Virgin Mary and that he took blessing of her holy body. In order to see her blessed body and take her blessing, all the Apostles fasted 15 days. This was according to our Coptic calendar from the first day of Misra (Mesra) to 15 Misra. In Ethiopian calendar from the first day of Nehase (Nähase, Nehasie, Nehasse) to 15 Nehase. The early Church history did not mention anything else about St Mary's fast. in the 13th century, the Church history states that Virgin's fast was confined to the nuns and sisters. In the 14th century it has became common among Orthodox Christians. In the early 17th Century, Pope Gabriel VIII of Alexandria declared it a special fast for those who vow to fast it, but no blame on those who do not fast it. After that all people used to fast it, so it became a permanent decision by the Church for everyone to fast May the blessings of Our Holy Mother Mary be with us all, and save the people of her Son, for whom He paid His precious blood on the cross. Have a blessed fast
