I was restless this morning and wanted to take some photos, but spring is still a week or two from being interesting around here, so I hopped in the car and headed to the Metropolitan Museum's medieval art and architecture collection at the Cloisters in Fort Tyron Park. These test shots were done hand held at a high ISO so they are grainy, but I got a great idea of what I can do there. I will go back at a time when I am allowed to use a tripod and get really good exposures. In the meantime I am thrilled with the results and happy to have a new location not too far from home I can photograph at. Keep Makin' Art! Carl

About The Artwork Arched Medieval Window, a slightly surreal desaturated monochromatic styled image of a small arched window set into The Bailgate that sits in front of Lincoln Cathedral, England, UK. The piece is desaturated to give a more monochromatic feel. Using a wet plate technique to emulate the old large style pioneering cameras of a bygone era and giving a timeless quality complete with grain and scratches. The work will also be printed on aluminium (aluminium) metal with a brushed gloss finish. The nature of metal printed work means that sometimes it carries slight imperfections which I believe will work in harmony with this aged styled scratched piece. A beautiful piece will be achieved creating a stylish eye-catching metal artwork. The work comes complete with wall mountings to make for easy hanging. The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity which will be signed and numbered with the edition size. Unique work of 1 that will not be exceeded in the stated size. Misty hills. Lonely forest roads. Plenty of vines, moss, and unkempt trees. And the cherry on top—a gorgeous abandoned building that radiates eeriness and grandeur in equal measure. That’s our dream home right there. Especially if the place looks haunted.
