This rather nice 1971 Portsmouth registered Leyland Super Comet knicker lorry was spotted at my usual suicidal roadworks site on the A3 in 1979.

1960 #Ford #Thunderbird #Convertible; 352 cid, 4 bbl, 300 hp; The Square Bird's third and last iteration, using the same body as the two previous years. The only differences were minor trim variations, but the 1960 version used three taillights per side instead of two.

1963 #Ford #Thunderbird 2-Dr HT; 390 cid, 4 bbl, 300 hp; Last of the "Bullet Birds" easily distinguished from its brethren by the character crease running from the point of the front fender to the door where it descends, partially enclosing 3 sets of forward inclined hash marks
