Today we're continuing with another card using the amazing Merry Bold & Bright Collection (available starting Sept 6th). Although I didn't use the Merry Bold & Bright Designer
Wreaths are always a go to focal point for holiday cards and it's fun to use different elements from stamps sets to create something different. I used the Merry & Bright stamp set's fat light bulbs to make a colorful wreath this time. I start this one with a Lemon Lime Twist base, then a strip of Melon Mambo foil. The foil is topped with a panel of white Textured Shimmer paper. It doesn't show well in the photo but this paper has a nice subtle shimmer that works perfectly for Christmas cards. I stamped 2 bulbs in each of my colors and then die cut them. I used the filament die and some retired white glitter paper and added one of those to each of the bulbs for more Christmas pizzazz. All of the bulbs are adhered to the back of the sentiment which is from the Brightest Glow stamp set and die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies. The whole "wreath" is then popped on dimensionals on the card front. I added a small bakers twine bow and a few retired Melon Mambo candy dots for embellishments. These colors are so fun together and I think I may try out some more designs using them. What do you think? Too bright or so fun? All of the current products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Merry & Bright, Brightest Glow Ink: Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Memento black Paper: Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo foil, Textured Shimmer paper, Basic White, White glitter paper Accessories: Merry& Bright dies, Stylish Shapes dies, dimensionals, bakers twine, candy dots (retired)

A colourful Christmas card made with the Merry & Bright stamp set and Merry & Bright dies from the Stampin' Up! 2023 September-December Mini Catalogue
We’re lighting it up this month with this fabulous card kit, Merry & Bright!! There are so many unique possibilities with this kit—you’re going to love it!! Release is in two days, September 22 at 10am, Eastern so make a note. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and more inspiration from the Design Team. For this card I went all glitzy using Silver Sparkle and Gold Sparkle card stocks along with Black Licorice card stock for the cords and sockets. First of all, I sponged Broken China Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper for my background. Then I cut out my components, using Christmas Lights Die-namics, and laid them all out for placement. The shadows on each bulb was done with a Copic marker. Once I had my placement nailed down, I heat embossed a sentiment from Merry & Bright Stamp Set with gold detail embossing powder and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape and added the die cut components for the finish. I love this sparkly card!! And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day One of MFT’s September Card Kit, Merry & Bright Countdown! All products from My Favorite Things unless otherwise noted. Stamps: Merry & Bright Die-namics: Christmas Lights MFT Card Stock/Specialty Papers: Sweet Tooth, Black Licorice, Silver Sparkle, Gold Sparkle Supplies/Tools: foam mounting tape, Smart Grid Paper Pad Other: Die-cutting machine, Copic markers, paper cutter, Mini MISTI, Mini MISTI Grid Paper Pad, MISTI Bar Magnets, Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, gold detail embossing powder, Embossing Magic, Multi Medium Matte Glue, Precision Tip Glue Applicator Bottle, QuickStik Pick-up Tool, plastic eraser, Mini Ink Blending Tool, Mini Ink Blending Foam Pads, Scor-Buddy. heat tool, Versamark
Since I've shared some fall cards the last few days it was time to get a Christmas design in the mix. Christmas will be here before I know it and I need to get cracking on some Christmas cards so I have enough for every one on my list. Freshly Made Sketches challenge always has a great layout and this week is no exception! The 3 circle elements turned into Christmas light on my card but I think it works! I kept the background clean and simple so the brighter colors of the light bulbs would pop so I embossed a piece of Basic White with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder. I added even more texture with a narrow strip of white Textured Shimmer paper. The bulbs are stamped in Tahitian Tide, Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lime Twist and the bases are stamped in Garden Green. Once they were die cut I cut a "wire" and strung my bulbs along it and adhered it to the card front with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green and cut out and then popped on dimensionals. A little shine was added with some Pastel adhesive backed sequins. The catalog lists the color as Balmy Blue but my pack definitely matches Tahitian Tide better. If you'd like to make your own version of this card you can get all the supplies in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Merry & Bright Ink: Tahitian Tide, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green Paper: Basic White thick, Basic White, Textured Shimmer paper, Garden Green Accessories: Snowflake Sky embossing folder, Merry & Bright dies, dimensionals, pastel adhesive backed sequins

Hello stamping friends! It's time for another Merry Monday! I've missed a couple weeks, but I'm getting back on track thanks to this weeks Global Design Project Case the Designer Challenge. I chose to case the sketch of this card because I love the sweet simplicity of it. And because it was perfect for the Merry & Bright string of lights! I am all about bold and bright colors for Christmas! The colorful rainbow of stripes pattern from the Merry Bold & Bright DSP is one of my favorites and was just perfect to peek out behind the string of lights. How cute are these light bulbs? I love all of the cute elements and details in the Merry & Brights dies! Do you love traditional Christmas colors or are you drawn to the bold and bright colors like me? Happy Stamping! FALALALA Three Colorful Holiday Signs. Print off these merry and bright falalala signs or INSTANT holiday cheer!
Hoii!!

Hi all and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m hosting this week so I hope to see lots of you playing along with us! I wasn’t done with Merry & Bright, MFT’s just released September Card Kit so I decided to use it on this card. To begin, I cut the lights from Tangy Orange, Sno Cone, and Blue Breeze card stocks, covered them all with a coat of clear Wink of Stella, then with a coat of Nuvo Crystal Glaze and set them aside to dry. Next I dry embossed Sweet Tooth card stock with Radiating Rays Stencil and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I cut the light string from Gold Sparkle card stock and adhered it to the card front along with Merry & Bright Stamp Set heat embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder and cut with Phrase Builders Die-namics, popped up on foam. Once the lights were dry, I added a Gold Sparkle socket and popped them up on foam as well. To finish off I added some matching sequins. Here you can see the shimmer from the Wink of Stella. And here the shine of the Nuvo glaze. And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD612 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd612 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there!
