Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!! Here is a card I created for my Aunt, who will be celebrating her 70th Birthday this September. She is a pretty trendy chic, so I thought that this darling a la mode in Cheers from My Favorite Things would be perfect for her card! I started with this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS, SC346. It was perfect for this image! I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Choice Buttercream Cardstock and colored her with Copic Markers. I cut out the panel and then drew a frame around the edge with a Copic Multliner. Her dress was paper pieced with one of the patterns I used on my card, which are all from A Happy Heart, part of the Six by Six Collection from My Minds Eye. I think I am IN LOVE...which is a good thing since every single one of their new pads are either in my stamp room or on their way to my stamp room. It's a sickness {shakes head}. On either side of the polka dot panel I added a border using the Open Bracket Border Die layered over the Solid Bracket Border Die. I love to use these together for a finished look. I added tons of machine stitching as well as three brads in the top corner. To add some extra pop to her bubbly, I add some shimmer with a Sakura Gel Pen, and then gave the entire glass, including the stem, a coat of Glossy Accents. Here is a closeup of my "70" panel. I cut the circles with both the circles from the 1st Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics and the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics. I LOVE how these layer perfectly. I cut the 70 out with the By The Numbers Die-Namics and then stamped the zebra pattern from By The Numbers onto them with Memento Tuxedo Black. SO fun no? For the inside, I could not bear to not use the scraps of this delish new paper, so I layered them together and stitched them up. I then added a sentiment from The a la modes in Cheers, "Time for the big girl bubbles" onto panels cut with the Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics. Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card today: Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Recipe: Stamps: The a la modes in Time For The Bubbly and By The Numbers from My Favorite Things Paper: Smokey Shadow (PTI), Choice Buttercream (TE) and A Happy Heart (My Minds Eye) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Copic Markers. Copic Multiliner, Sakura Gel Pen, Glossy Accents, Silver Brads, Sweet Stack Label Die-Namics, First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, Open Bracket Border Die-Namics, Solid Bracket Border Die-Namics, By the Numbers Die-Namics, Sewing Machine and Jody Boosters Jodi
Hi everyone!! Happy Bellarific Friday!!! Today's Bellarific Friday Challenge is "For the Boys"! SO fun...I know I can always use a masculine card in my stash!!! I was SUPER excited about this challenge because I wanted to finally ink up the ADORABLE Noah The Computer Guy from Stamping Bella. I totally LOVE him!!! I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Bella's Bestest Cream Paper and colored him with Copic Markers. I cut him out and embossed the panel with Rectangle Nestabilities which I layered over Big Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities (love these!!!). I added a sentiment to the focal panel, "to a Super boy", also from Stamping Bella! One of my FAVORITE things about the sentiments at Stamping Bella are the fonts...they are SO fun!! I used this week's Sketch Challenge at SCS for the layout, SC282, but I fudged the center band a bit because I didn't want to cover up this cutie!! Oh how I LOVE the papers on this card (grin!!)! Both patterns are from So Sophie by My Minds Eye...YUM!! I kept the embellies super simple, ust using two silver brads on my focal panel! Make sure you head on over to Bloggabella and check out today's Bellarific Friday post! Leave a comment and be automatically entered for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!! Score! Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Recipe: Stamps: Noah the Computer Guy & to a Super boy sentiment, both by Stamping Bella Paper: Suede Brown Dark, Bella's Bestest Cream & So Sophie by My Minds Eye Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Rectangle Nestabilities, Large Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Silver Brads, Sponges and Foam Tape Jodi
