This is my North Korean MiG-15 for the Cold War collaboration for brickfair Virginia. Building at this scale is hard. Really hard. I typically do larger stuff so I have more room to work with. At this small of a scale some compromises had to be made. Starting off with the canopy. I would have liked to have been able to brick build it but, that kept looking to rough and unnatural for this model. I also had to build this with yitzy’s model in the background. I didn’t like his execution of the wings and other bits but I did end up having a similar tail and using the exact same canopy piece. I did however paint this in the North Korean markings from the Korean war to help offset Ralph’s Corsair in the collab. This may be the last thing I build for this collab but we’ll see.
Hey everyone! I have big things in the works, but for now here are some photos of my 1:22 scale MiG-15 that I had built last year for Brickfair VA. This model has wing flaps, sliding cockpit, and rear brake flaps although you can't really tell from the pictures. Please leave me some feedback, and enjoy!
