Hello dear visitors! I'm excited to share another mini album I created using gorgeous Graphic 45 papers "Craft Reflections". It's not a new collection and I have had it for a long time in my stash. I thought it was perfect for a vintage style mini album like the one I'm showing you today. The album's dimensions are 5 1/4" X 6 5/8", the spine is 3". It has 8 pocket pages and I used envelopes (standard size 6.5" X 4.5") for creating the base for them. I also used quite a few of Tim Holtz & Sizzix dies, I think they are perfect for the vintage style projects. You can find the guidelines for creating the album, including the measurements and the list of the dies in the YouTube video which I've posted on my channel here. Drop me a comment if you have a question. I have a short video tutorial on making these tag pockets using the Stampin' Up Tag Topper Punch. You can find a walk-through for this mini album on my You Tube channel here: Thanks for watching a have a great weekend! Hugs, Alexandra

Yesterday I taught a 2x2x3 Mini Album Class and it's available online HERE! I use a mix of collections to create this project, namely supplies from my Go the Scenic Route, Wonders, and Truly Grateful lines as well as bits and pieces from Shimelle, Dear Lizzy, Jen Hadfield, Amy Tangerine, and more! This 2x2x3 Mini Album features lots of pages, lots of color, and 25 photos from highlights of our June 2022. We learn in class how to make paper tassels and beads to embellish the stitched spine. A PDF with a list of supplies, photo sizes, templates, instructions, and the link to the YouTube video is emailed upon purchase. Here are pictures of all the spreads in this 2x2x3 Mini Album. Let me know if you have any questions about anything! I hope you are inspired to check out my 2x2x3 Mini Album Virtual Class!

I love interactive projects especially mini albums. It's so much fun to go through an album and find surprises in it. Pull a tag, open a door or turn a wheel and find secrets under it. It takes the mini album to a whole different level. What if I told you you can achieve all that but with only ONE sheet of paper? You can! here's how... First let me say that I'm so happy I can share a Youtube video tutorial with you because it's really difficult to explain all the steps with actually seeing how they work. Start with a 12x12 cardstock. I used a black one and covered it later but you can use a patterned double sided cardstock and then you can skip the covering part. Score it on the 4" and 8" marks, turn it a quarter of a turn and score again. Continue according to the items: First cut along all the lines (that are not dotted) and then fold: A: fold top center to the right. apply adhesive to top and bottom edges of right square and attach to create a pocket. B: fold down. C: fold top left square down. Apply adhesive to right and bottom edges of center left square and attach to create a pocket. fold under center square. D: fold to the right. E: fold bottom right square to the left. F: fold edge of square to the right on 1" mark. apply adhesive to flaps to create two pockets. G: fold bottom left square to the right. Fold up to close. Add tags and inserts to the pockets and embellish. Create strips of paper to hold some of the tags. The steps are a little confusing to explain in words and it'll be so much easier to watch the video. I hope you'll join in the fun and try this project. It might look complicated but it's really easy. Just follow all the steps and you're there! Follow me on Facebook and YouTube for more crafty treats! Have fun creating! Einat

Finally! I found my Adobe Photoshop Elements disc and was able to install it on the new computer (purchased after 2 laptops got a bad virus and were sent to the computer doctor- free at our co-op, and a great sale at Wallyworld-can give it to our son who will start college soon). I have been struggling with the inability to edit my pics on the same computer that has a card reader for about 2 weeks now. I never knew how much I need my computer! So, I am able to finally give you more details on at least one of my Blog Hop projects :) The completed project can be used for so many different things. This one is a "what are you thankful for" book for Thanksgiving. The one I did for the hop was a Gift List book with a tab for each person I am likely to be shopping for with their favorite stuff, wish lists, and sizes listed on the front, and then I will write what I got for them on the back of the tab. First off, decide how many pages you will want. I did an 8 page and a 10 page. Then stamp as desired, remember to stamp the little flap on the other side, as this will show also. Apply Sticky strip to the inside edge as shown here and fold the sides in to adhere. Do not fold the small flap in. Apply Sticky Strip to the other side of the small flap. Repeat with all of the pages. I have found that the pages line up best if you hold then like this to attach to each other. Attach each flap to the next page. This is what it should look like as you go. On the last page, put Sticky Strip both sides of the flap and adhere flap to it's page. Now take a 2"x2¼" scrap of paper and on the 2" side, score at ½", 1¾", and every 1/8" in between. Love that Simply Scored!! Apply Sticky Strip to the front page also and adhere to book as shown. The tabs are from the Two Tags die with about ¼" off the end so it fit better in the pockets. Decorate those as desired. All Done! Here is a clickable supply list for the supplies I could create affiliate links for. Help me buy more stamps, so I can share more ideas with you 😉

Hi Everyone - another Cosmo Cricket Challenge this week and a chance to use the fabulous new 2WENTY-THR3E Collection showcased at CHA 2012. I was lucky enough to have been given a set of papers from this Collection and the Challenge was to alter a tin - but I have chosen to use a re-use
hello and happy Saturday to you! I meant to post this before I left on vacation but there was way too much to do and so, here it is, on a Saturday. :) This months Color Challenge with Crate Paper ~ the details of the challenge are posted on the blog. I knew I wanted to make a mini for the Fall season and even though this month is all about orange I was determined to create a color combination that wasn't expected. No orange for this month! This month's colors are Peacock Green ~ Mustard Yellow and Wheat ~ I think these colors are so complimentary to Autumn photos or Fall themed projects! I created this mini album using coaster sized chipboard, Hambly transparencies, lots of Crate Paper Chipboard accent pieces and Patterned Paper. It's called Autumn Plans - think December Daily except geared towards Fall - It measures only 4x4 inches, large enough for photos & journaling and yet small enough that it's completely manageable. I think I made this entire little book in one afternoon! I filled the album with a combination of photos, to-do lists, quotes, ATC's (from last year) and I plan on adding more photos as I take them. I still have lots of baking to do with the kids, our annual Autumn hike in Sedona, some arts & crafts time and the kids' Fall festival at school. busy-busy! What are your Autumn Plans this year? This month is going by entirely too fast but I am happy to say that I have the house and yard all decorated for Halloween. I just need to pick up one bag of every possible candy available at the grocery store and I think I'm all set! I'm off to finish up some laundry and then it's on to making a candy garland! Hope you're are having a lovely weekend!
It is official... I am addicted to Journaling. This is an inspiration post... why? I may have become lost in my creativity... it happe...
Happy New Year to each of you! What an amazing finish to 2017 with so much inspiration from our participants, guest designers and design team. It was wonderful to see each and every project and get to know some new faces. If you haven't visited the December entries, do hop over and check them out. Today we begin a new challenge with a fabulous sponsor, Lindy's Stamp Gang! Website - https://www.lindysgang.com/ Blog - https://lindysgang.blog/ YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/lindysgang/ One lucky participant will win a generous $25 gift certificate to the Lindy's online shop. :) This month our team wows us with more inspiring albums. Hop around to each blog for the full reveal and tutorial for each project. Anne As another new year begins, my thoughts turned to Valentine's Day and I made a 4" square mini album from two sheets of paper and some fabulous Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. Astrid My aim for the January challenge was to make something useful and also to use some of my endless collection of hoarded papers and other stash. So I created a desk top calendar album. Here are the cover and some of the inside pages. If you want to see the rest, please hop over to my blog. Alison As you probably know, words are a major part of my world, so I made myself a journal to collect thoughts, ideas, phrases and rhymes ready to play with. I used the lovely leafy garland (by one of our sponsors, Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts) to create decorative masking detail on the inner pages, so do hop over to Words and Pictures to take a look inside. Gloria There is nothing quite like a blank journal to start the New Year! Blank pages are full of possibility! I created an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" journal with lots of pages for writing notes and ideas. The canvas and beach theme makes me feel relaxed and serene. Visit Scraps of Life for all the details and a tutorial for creating this hidden spiral binding. Inna In the archive of my parents there are many old family photos. I decided to make an album for them. Autumn I've been longing to compile an album filled with my favorite stamped images by PaperArtsy. I worked through creating this progressive style flip fold album, with lots of shabby crackly details. Visit me at SewPaperPaint for more. I hope these peeks have sparked your imagination and you will pay the design team blogs a visit. We welcome you to play along with our challenge, which ends at 11:55 pm EST on January 31. Join us on January 7 for our December winners announcement. Our challenge follows a few simple rules: Any Handmade Book Goes. Enter any form of handmade mini albums, scrapbooks, journals and book arts. Our focus is on completed works, so no layouts or journal spreads that are not part of a complete handmade book project. You do not have to provide a tutorial, but we wish you would. Feel free to use one of the DT tutorials to make your project and give proper credit where due. No back linking allowed. Please add our badge to your post and link to our challenge. Combine with any other challenges as applicable. No limit on entries. Share the love by visiting and commenting on other entries. Please become a follower. That's it - have fun! An InLinkz Link-up

Mini Paper bag album using October Afternoon Sidewalks collection.
