Designed with a more domestic environment in mind, the Connect Soft Modular Sofa from Muuto takes style cues from the original Connect Sofa and adds soft filling, an angled backrest and smaller proportions to create a more relaxing design for your home. The Connect Soft Modular Sofa is set apart from the crowd of modular sofas thanks to a host of understated details: Defined box stitching and matching piping solidifies the form of this inviting seating series. Small feet on the underside of the sofa subtly elevate the design for a slight hovering appearance which lightens the feel of the bulky form. Finally a platform at the base of the sofa makes a neat addition to the profile and grounds the design. A minimalist look ensures the sofa will match up with many interior styles and the plump cushioning creates a very comforting appearance. The sofa is available in a variety of upholstery options which are available on request. If you would like any help to arrange for some fabric samples to be sent to you, please get in contact and we'd be happy to help. Anderssen & Voll on the design: "The Connect Soft Modular Sofa is a seating system based on the idea of finding perfect proportional connections between the different components of the sofa. Designed with a deep, low seat, loose upholstery and an inherently soft filling, the Connect Soft Modular Sofa is at once elegant and contemporary" The Connect Soft Modular Sofa modules are also available as a pre-configured 2-Seater Sofa, 3-Seater Sofa and Corner Sofa. Mood sofa is part of the New Malabar's collection, future Classic. Alexander Rodchenko, considered one of the founders of the Constructivism movement, sought new art forms and modes of making art. Art, Alexander believed, had no place in the hermetic space of the artist’s studio. Instead, it should reflect the modern. Rodchenko’s work was heavily influenced by Cubism and Futurism, which featured geometric forms deployed against a white background. Inspired by this movement and its famous realistic abstraction art painting, Malabar designers conceived this future Classic sofa. Define your living room décor with the mood sofa that can be tailored to your design space and taste. Structured in walnut wood by our expert artisans and upholstered in cotton velvet, this modular sofa features a lacquered feet and three pillows. With carefully balanced proportions, its modular design and comfortable ottomans ensure that the mood sofa becomes a focal point of your decor.

At work I am in a small lull between big projects and I was asked to help out on a design for a modular display system for our firm’s work. So with the help of the ever handy laser cutter I ended up making what amounted to several fun, tinker-toy-esque models. Once we complete the finished display I'll put up pictures (will be ready in early April). The circular module. Ended up being rather organic - almost leaf like. The diamond module. Ended up being crystaline with a complex spatial quality. The square module. This is the one we'll go with as it provides the most stability with the most display type of areas.
