She's very close to finished. Just minor cleanup here and there. I've decided to stop here because this is always how I envisioned her. I bought this statue over two years ago when I left my baby at Texas A&M for the first time. I stared at the statue for a whole year, and then after I dropped my son off for his second year at school, I started working on her. And then I got stalled. This year, after my son left for his third year, I decided it was time to finish her. I've been working on her steadily since August. Finally, there's not much left to do except find her permanent home. She took a very long time to do, and it was a lot more work than I thought it would be when I started, but she was a joy to work on from start to finish and I never minded the time it took.
Chilean artist Pascale Lehman 2017 Pascale Lehman ceramic texture Pascale's abstract sculptural 'territorio' pieces reveal a close dialogue with the complex textures of organic landscapes, capturing their gestural energies and providing an innate platform for infusing her personal character into her creations. At the beginning of her career, after studying design, she worked as a textile designer. She commenced working with clay in 2005 in Santiago. She sees her art as a mirror to the inner world, that has been decoded with conceptual clarity, flow and rhythm. She feels it is essential to believe in one's own

Art can be created from all kinds of things like food and everyday objects. This British artist named Justin Bateman, however, uses fragments of nature to create his masterpieces. Specifically pebbles, rocks, and stones. He creates temporary mosaics of people's portraits, animals, famous paintings, and statues. The artist calls it 'land art.' Justin enjoys this type of art because it's temporary and unmovable. It's much more valuable this way.
Dallas-based artist Dan Lam organizes her gloopy sculptural works into three categories that perfectly capture the form factor of her general aesthetic: Squishes, Drips, and of course Blobs. The pieces appear to ooze from where they rest, growing stalactite-like appendages that drip from the edges of shelves. The pieces are made primarily from polyurethane foam and acrylic paint and are often adorned with spiky appendages. More

It’s tough enough to create an artwork with oils, watercolour or clay, the ultimate success or failure depending on knowledge, imagination, technique, content and design, plus a host of other factors that I haven’t mentioned. So how much more difficult is it when the art works are made from recycled materials, from items salvaged from rubbish, from what others have thrown away? And even more difficult than that, to do it in such a way that the final result makes you stop and look because of the impact. In the weeks to come I will post examples – collages, sculptures, statues – of art works made from recycled materials. I have no doubt that you will be as awed as I when you see them. First up: The art of Tom Deininger. Tom is a 43 year old American who is both a painter of fine art and an artist who uses found and recycled materials, from electronics parts to cigarette butts, to create a variety of works of varying styles and subject matter: (To get the full effect, move away from the computer screen and view the pics from a greater distance). In Ilhwa Kim’s sculptural landscapes, innumerable paper seeds form precise rows, indented pockets of densely packed folds, and multi-color valleys that wind through the feet-wide works. The South Korean artist arranges individual units of the rolled material in a staggered manner, meaning that the color, shadow, and texture of the final pieces shift with each viewing. “I am probably a sculptor of senses. I have been very curious how my senses are being organized when I perceive a thing or a location. More
