Want a Father's Day Gift that's going to be EASY to prepare, SIMPLE TO MAKE and LOOK GREAT, even when made by kids? Father's Day Nature Cards are perfect!
It was a hot summery day and I retreated to my cool craft room to indulge in playing with some of my pre-order items from the January 2024 Mini Catalogue. First up was the Notes of Nature bundle, part of the Nature's Sweetness suite. I took inspiration from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I like the eclectic mix of images in this set, beautifully enhanced by the add-on die cuts. I enjoyed creating the stamped background for the foliage and sentiment cluster, using a mix of Pebbled Path and Granny Apple Green ink. The cork embellishments are part of the Nature's Sweetness suite, as is the lovely Specialty DSP. Update: Delighted to be a Perfect Princess at Freshly Made Sketches. These products will be available in the New Year. As always, the release of the Mini Catalogue is also the beginning of the Sale-abration promotion. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the Contact Me tab at the top of the page. If you would like a copy of the catalogue, please message me. Hello, As mentioned yesterday, there are new Online Exclusives which will be available from 5th March. Here is a sneak peek at some of the products. I stamped the woodgrain from the Textured Timber stamp set (#163656) with Crumb Cake ink (#147116) onto the Basic White base card (#158228). Then I stamped the small floral image with Crushed Curry ink (#147087). This stamp is from the Encircled In Nature stamp set (#163623). All the die-cut leaves were cut with Encircled In Nature dies (#163628) using Cajun Craze card (#121683), Crushed Curry card (#131288), Granny Apple Green card (#147014) and Crumb Cake card (#121685). These cards were backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), making it easy to attach these to the card. The card front was matted with Cajun Craze card and the base card is Basic White. The flowers from Encircled In Nature stamp set were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends used to colour this are Granny Apple Green (#154885), Daffodil Delight (#154883) and 700 from the Medium Light Natural Tones (#159463). The sentiment from Encircled In Nature stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze ink (#147085) and cut with a Stylish Shapes dies (#159183). The sentiment & flowers were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The embellishments are from the retired Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots. “Love what you do and share what you love.” INSPIRE. CREATE. I originally got this bundle, Encircled in Nature, to learn Circle Wreath cards, but I just really like it! It's fairly new, and can be found in the Online Exclusives! This card would make an awesome masculine card!! Be sure to check out this bundle! Measurements: Crumb Cake: 1/2 sheet, 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla: 4" x 5 1/4" Mossy Meadow: scraps (2) To Make This Card: Cut the largest "jagged" circle die from the Encircled in Nature dies from Crumb Cake layer. Run this piece through an Embossing Folder of your choice. (I placed this circle just a little higher than center.) Temporarily attach this to the folded Crumb Cake card base. Line up smaller "jagged" circle die from the Encircled in Nature dies lining up markings on dies. Remove the embossed layer, and die cut the circle die. Next, permanently adhere layer to card lining up circles. Now, add the Very Vanilla piece to the inside. Lightly pencil the bottom of the circle opening. (for placement of trees). Stamp the "trees" in Mossy Meadow, following pencil mark. Close card and stamp sentiment through the opening in Crumb Cake ink. Next, die cut one larger set of trees and one smaller set of trees from Mossy Meadow cardstock, Attach to circle opening, as shown. Finish with double bow of Linen Thread and scattered Swirl Dots. Hello there friends... I'm back today with another clean and simple card, taking a break from Christmas cards today and wanted to share a card I made using the Nature's Harvest bundle from Stampin' Up! To see how this card came together, you can click HERE for the video. I love to watercolor. It's my favorite way to add color to an outline stamped image. Something about the softness and shading makes my heart happy, so when I saw this stamp set I knew I'd want to use my watercolor pencils and
It's time for another masculine birthday card, and men like "woodsy" things, right? In the Woods First, I embossed Whisper White Cardstock with the Woodland Embossing Folder. Before
Getting the 'Rooted in Nature' stamp set and it's coordinating dies 'Nature's Root' had me a bit intimidated. Within the dies, there are embossed dies. I first needed to buy the Embossing Mats from SU before taking a stab at these. The instructions are pretty straight forward. When die-cutting... place the dies downward. When embossing with the dies... place the dies upward. Now, I had trouble with the paper staying within the die after cutting the shape out. Which it says to die-cut first, then emboss. Well, it wasn't working for me, as the paper would slip. So I embossed the image first, then die-cut them out. Perfect leaves! I love the finished result! I'll need to practice using the embossing dies more though! Thanks for taking a peek! Supplies Used: Stamp Set - Rooted In Nature Ink - Crumb Cake, Night of Navy Paper - Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Whisper White Accessories - Die-Cut/Emboss Machine, Embossing Mats, Nature's Roots Dies, dimensionals, glue dots, scissors, Pinewood Planks EF, Linen Thread
