【京都市上京区で池泉庭園を楽しむ】　皇位を退かれた天皇(上皇（じょうこう）という）の御所。江戸時代初期(1630年）に完成。1854年の大火で焼失後、上皇がおられなかったこともあり、その後茶室以外の御殿等の建物はなく庭園だけとなった。庭園は江戸時代の有名作庭家・小堀遠州も携わったが、その遺構（いこう）はほぼ残っていない。現在は宮内庁の管理となり事前予約で参観可能。遺構：痕跡
