♥ Protection ♥ Luck ♥ Faith ♥ Strength ♥ Connection ♥ About red rope In the Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhist lineage, it is very common to tie a red string or cord around the wrist during rituals. Traditionally, the lama would bless the rope, tie it in a knot, and infuse it with a mantra. Similar to other traditions, these red ropes are said to bring good luck and provide protection. In ancient legends, the invisible red thread of fate connects all people whose lives are intertwined. It is governed by Yue Lao, the Chinese god of marriage, as it is primarily associated with the bond between two people destined to marry. Throughout history and philosophy, wearing a red string symbolizes protection, faith, good luck, strength and connection. Today, many people use it to remind themselves that they are not alone. It is also a symbol of being loved, supported, and secure. For others, it's a tip to stay positive in the face of any adversity.
