In the Sale-a-bration catalog, there is a stamp set called Epic Celebrations and it is one that I was drawn to right away because it can be used for teenager cards. Having a couple of those in the house as well as several nieces and nephews we send cards to, that was a set that I wanted to get right away. There are images of tennis shoes, a guitar and headphones as well as a couple sayings and a background type stamp. I stamped the guitar on some Soft Suede card stock and then stamped it again on a scrap, cut it out and popped it up over the first stamped image. There are also some images stamped into the Crumb Cake card base and a couple pieces of True Gentleman designer series paper on the card. Supplies: Epic Celebrations Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Dapper Denim ink Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock 1 3/4" circle punch True Gentleman dsp

Hi! EDIT: Oh, wow! Soooo excited that I won the challenge with this card! I happened to be checking out Facebook last night when the CASEing The Catty crew posted their new challenge. This week they are challenging us to CASE anything from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. After a quick browse, I decided on the card on the top right of page 16. I don't have the stamp set that was used to create the card in the catalogue (Amazing You), so I decided to use another SAB set, Epic Celebrations. I'm totally loving this set! I started by applying some Silver Embossing Paste through the brick wall mask to the Old Olive card base. The trainers, headphones and guitar were stamped and coloured with Blends. A little trick with the trainers is to go around the outside of the rage with a light marker. In this case I used the Light Crumb Cake Blend. This makes the white on the trainers stand out more. Don't the dots make a great background for the rest of the images in this set? I think so! Bye for now, Tina
Hey there! Next week at my meeting for my team, the Yes Mam! Stampers, we are having a Shoebox Swap, where everyone brings a card they've created with all of the supplies to make it in a "shoebox". We all...
It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with: Fun! At first I was going to make a Christmas card, but I felt like a break from Christmas, and then I was going to go with something floral...but in the end, I couldn't resist pulling out a brand new (Sneak Peak!) stamp set from our upcoming Occasions Catalogue. This cute birdie is from a new set called Bird Banter. I've also borrowed the layout from a card in the new Catalogue (I love a new catalogue for the inspiration it holds within!). The pretty Calypso Coral and silver paper in the background is another sneak peak called Sweet Soiree. To complement the silver in the paper, I added a narrow strip of Silver Foil cardstock I watercoloured my birdie using Blender Pens. I even gave him a little birthday hat to wear. I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page! It's always a little bit sad when good things come to an end. Over the past couple of weeks, I've thoroughly enjoyed sharing the projects I presented during my Stamp Showcase presentation on the Main Stage during Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event. For my presentation, I created and shared five new

Sale-a-bration and the new Occasions catalogue is here! I know I’m a bit late as they started on the 3rd of Jan, but I have been spending all my spare time working on samples for my first class for 2018 and mini catalogue launch on the 3rd of Feb. Let The Good Time Roll is a stamp set from the Occasions catalogue. I dedicated a whole day to playing with this set and the matching thinlits. This is the first card I created. The front uses part of the inside thinlit trimmed down to make a simple roller coaster. Inside the card I cut the Roller coaster die from Soft Sky cardstock and again from Silver Foil. Clouds have been heat embossed in the sky and carriages added to the roller coaster. Even the teeny tiny flags have been cut out and attached. Although this card was lots of fun to make, I made a simplified version suitable for a class. I will post a tutorial for this card after the class has been held. I will be back regularly with more of my projects. Hi stampers! We're on day three of our display stamper blog hop and I hope you're loving the sneak peeks so far! If you're new, make sure to go back and check out days one and two and then come back for the rest of the week! I hope you're not getting sick of the Myths & Magic suite yet because I've got more coming up. I promise you'll get a break from it soon though :-) This suite really is SO cute and I guess I went a little heavy on the samples but can you blame me? You don't even have to use the stamp set much! The DSP is great for your main image which is what my two samples today feature. I cut this little mermaid out and used her to make a shaker card! This project is a little different but it's super cute! I just took one of our clear boxes and made a little wizard diorama. I fussy cut my wizards and the castle from the DSP and used the Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon for grass. Isn't it cute? You could do the same with the smaller unicorns too, I think! I have to say, my hubby gave me the idea for this one when he walked into my office and saw ALL this stuff ALL OVER the floor LOL! That's it for me today and I promise a new stamp set up tomorrow :-) Hop on over to see what Charlet has for you today, you'll love it! I normally don’t embrace coloring…or fussy-cutting. However, I was determined to CASE a card, and I had some extra time – so I did both. It was a pleasant reminder of how relaxing it is to color, and
Hey there! While I was playing with the Epic Celebrations set a few days ago, I created today's card with Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist. You know me, I like to do at least two versions of just about...
I adore the watercolor backgrounds on lots of great cards I've seen over the past couple of years. Some are soft and sweet, while others are bold and beautiful. I decided to roll up my sleeves and give the 'smooshing technique' a try, but I didn't stop there. I decided
I had a request for two cards. She asked if I could do a back to school theme as they were for her assistant teachers in her classroom. She said the colors were red and black, and the mascot was a Panda. Hmmm.....I couldn't come up with a back to school idea, so I just went with a panda. I searched the internet for some punch art...cause you know you make just about any animal with punches....put some of the examples I found together and came up with this little guy.... Then I got to work making my friend 2 cards to welcome her assistants to the classroom. (it is so hard to photograph the color red) This one is my favorite of the two. Stampin UP! Good morning peeps!! Today I am sharing some Valentine treat holders I've been working on. 😃 These little boxes are so fun to put together and hold a box of small conversation hearts. You can make two from on sheet of 8-1/2 ×11 piece of card stock. The dimensions are as follows: 4 × 10-1/2 inch piece of cardstock. Score on the long side at 3-3/4, 4-3/4, 8-1/2 and 9-1/2. Basic box building from there. The DPS is 1-3/4 × 3-1/2. I used some retired paper from the Stampin Up Stacked with Love pack. The light bulb image is from the Watts of Occasions stamp set. Here is another version using the Saleabration set called Party Pandas. I made several of these for special order. I love that little Panda. Thanks such for the sweet comments and e-mails I received after my last post. Nice to hear from so many. Have a great day! 😊😊 Vicki

Look familiar? :) I loved our sketch at Freshly Made Sketches so much this week that I made 2 cards! This one isn't clean like the other one though. As I was making the first one I knew I wanted to do another one in some boyish colors but add in a bit of distressing. I hope it doesn't look too Halloweenish. I did use the retired DSP from the last Holiday Mini, so it probably does. :) Hopefully there is a Halloween fan out there who will appreciate a birthday card in black and orange. Gotta use up all that paper somehow!

Happy Sunday! Yay for FINALLY getting into the Craft Cave yesterday! Given the number of hours I was in there I would have thought I'd create a lot more but I took it slow and steady and enjoyed the process - something I have't done in a very long time! It really is SO therapeutic! I'm usually so rushed when coming up with projects. Being stressed and under a time constraint does NOT help get the creative juices flowing. Yesterday was lovely. I used sets I WANTED to use, not ones I felt I NEEDED to use, if that makes sense. First up was the Charming Cafe set and framelits. Now this one I REALLY sat on the fence on. It's $56.50 CDN for the bundle, which is not a small bit of change post-Christmas and I DID wonder if it was a bit of a one trick pony ... so I thought I'd see. I challenged myself to make three projects with it. Yup - mission accomplished. I'm now crushing on this set and realize it can (and WILL) be used often for quick and easy cards, as WELL as intricate, time consuming works of art. Check out the first one I made, primarily CASEd from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue. It's a tri-fold card. The base is cut from a piece of 10 1/2" x 5 1/2" Crumb Cake paper, scored at 3 1/2" and 7". The Designer Paper on the front comes from the new Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper Stack (2018 Occasions catty). Before I made the card I watched two videos - I watched the Stampin' Up! video first and then one by fellow UK demonstrator, Gaynor Boyce. I've posted the videos below. Watch the for tips and tricks to save you time and confusion. The first time you use the framelits (particularly for the tri-fold card) will be the hardest/most time consuming. It took me about 45 minutes to make mine ... but I was watching the videos at the same time. The next time I use it, it will be much faster. Learning curve, and all that! After spending so much time on one card I wanted something QUICK! I just love the little table and chairs and they fit PERFECTLY on the new Narrow Notecards and Envelopes (page 19 of the 2018 Occasions Catty - $10.75 CDN for 20). BAM! 5 notecards, all in different colors, that I'll use for a little hostess or teacher gift. I LOVE these and they only took about 10 minutes to whip up! Finally, I wanted a third project that was somewhere in between the time consuming one and the quick one. I had a bunch of extra pieces on my desk ... and a Z-Fold card base I had been playing with on another project and all that turned into this ... Cute! Do you have a stamp set on your shelf that you haven't used yet? I challenge you to take it out and make THREE projects with it. It's fun to push yourself and the results are usually pretty stinkin' cute! Off I go to start my day. Have a stampy Sunday! Tam
