It's about time we see a little boy (on the left) taking some family responsibility around here. The two items being advertised on the little pink and white banner are : KANRO : Sweetened kumquat coated with Japanese jelly made from Kuzu Root (arrowroot). And... MITSU MAME : (In the words of a Japanese writer) “....MITSU MAME may be the most popular item in kanmi restaurants. It comes in a small bowl. Boiled brown peas (mame) and diced agar-agar jelly are garnished colorfully with pieces of stewed fruits and is served in syrup (mitsu).
