The complete refurbishment of a four-storey townhouse located in the Chelsea Conservation Area. Layouts have been reconfigured at each level to create an interior architecture that responds to the existing building, whilst providing a modern contemporary backdrop for the client's eclectic collection of artwork and furniture. A reduced palette of materials including, blackened steel, natural stone and polished concrete run throughout, with bespoke timber joinery helping to maximise the building's small footprint. New powder-coated steel balusters and a solid oak handrail have been added to the fully refurbished staircase.
