ORGANIC FORM/ GEOMETRIC MATRIX - AWOL trends | Trends tracked by designers, for designers
Handmade ceramic bud vases with white stripes and a flower look fresh and classy but the possibilities are endless. Give a desk or windowsill a cozy touch. They are perfect as table center pieces and not so tall that you can't see your dining companions over them. This organic pear shape is inspired by fruits and gourds. It feels smooth in the hand and has a soft visual appeal. The originals were hand pinched in clay, then I made a mold to slip cast them. Thin, raised white stripes are a detail that add texture and give these small ceramic vases a Scandinavian freshness. Originally, I designed them for the bridal department of Barneys NY in Japan. Today, you don't need to go to Japan for these bright little bud vases. Handmade and personal, they make lovely gifts whether there is a wedding involved or not!
