My name is Anastasia Durasova, I'm a makeup artist and a body-painter based in New York City. And I love turning human bodies into art pieces. Body Art is a collaboration, where all the participants - model, photographer, assistants are equally important.
One artist on how representing herself through her work made her feel proud of her body.
Actor. Comedian. Writer. There are many ways that you could describe the multi-talented Australian phenomenon that is Celeste Barber. But we think that ‘bloody hilarious’ fits the bill just right.

Temporary art that uses the human body as a canvas. There are many different body painting artists that vary their subject matter, from making people look like monsters, animals, celebrities, to making them disappear in the background. Lucia Postacchini uses the humans as a canvas to paint her art. The body is very uneven and different parts of the it provide a varying skin textures. Trying to draw & paint straight lines and to represent an image on this medium, is not an easy feat. Further more, this painting has to be finished in one sitting, there is no coming back to it, tomorrow. When it is finished and the primary reason for the painting is achieved (art for art's sake or some kind of commercial use), the art is washed off and the only way we know it ever existed, is the photographic record of it. Hello everyone My name is Jillian Elizabeth and I am a local make-up artist and body painter. I run a beauty and make-up studio in Dundee and regularly work with other creatives in the city on photo shoots, fashion shows and film projects. My passion for body painting continues in my latest project depicting the 5th of November fireworks in Dundee. This includes the fire works in Dundee and silhouettes of some of our local landmarks including the Law, The Discovery ship, The bandstand at Magdalen Green and the penguin statues that can be found in Dundee. I painted this piece completely free hand and used ultra violet paints to make the fire works really stand out and look like they are illuminating the sky. These images were captured by the extremely talented Siobhan Diamond. Our gorgeous and very patient model was my good friend Mandy. Here are some behind the scenes pictures that I captured on my mobile phone. Here are some other examples of my body painting work: For more information and more examples of my work have a look at my website and social media pages: www.cosmetiquescotland.co.uk www.facebook.com/cosmetiquescotland www.facebook.com/facebodypaintingcosmetique/?fref=ts instagram.com/cosmetiquescotland twitter.com/JelizabethMUA For more information on Siobhan's work check out her website and facebook www.siobhandiamond.co.uk www.facebook.com/SDiamondPhotography Hope you liked my Dundee body paint, I would LOVE to hear what you all thought of it :)

Do you remember the amazing body art illusions by Craig Tracy? It seems that Craig has a competitor - 25-year-old German artist Gesine Marwedel. From flamingo to iguana, she can turn people into any animal using special paint that is not harmful to the body of her models.

Sometimes an artist has a unique way of drawing, so much so that you could tell who is the author of their drawings or paintings without knowing it prior. In other instances, it’s the topics they choose to represent or the materials they use. Or even what they decide to use as a canvas.
If a body is a person's temple, then Lucas Luce's body is one of the most illusory temples there are. But don't fret, for it is merely a ruse. The Italian makeup artist practices his art on himself, and for what it's worth, they are really convincing. Some of them are so real that it's even somewhat creepy: his body seemingly bends and twists and glitches out to create spacious 3D illusions. What probably makes them so realistic is that Luca has a good eye for shadows and highlights, as well as hues and cues. And if you still don't believe your eyes, perhaps some videos will make it more believable? You can check out the artist's TikTok and Instagram to see the intriguing details of his transformations. If you think you recognize him, that's probably because you've seen the post here on Bored Panda from a few years ago. Or it could be his own post showcasing his works on hands.
