Back in the late 2000s, the Taiwanese government had plans to evacuate an area filled with deserted and abandoned villages in order to build modernized apartment complexes from scratch. The only problem was that 86-year-old Huang Yung-Fu, now known as “Rainbow Grandpa”, didn’t have anywhere to go and wasn’t ready to leave his beloved home of 40 years. But when it comes to fighting for what you believe in, especially against bureaucracy, it’s not always such an easy fight to battle, and Rainbow Grandpa had to get creative. Keep on reading to find out how the adorable, cheerful Rainbow Grandpa passionately fought for his home, and created something even more special along the way.
