Bas-Relief is a technique as old as humankind's very first artistic endeavors, a way of sculpting figures that are slightly raised from a flat surface. Bas-Relief sculptures could be found on the walls of all kinds of buildings and temples from ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece, and now it's making a comeback.

This is a plaster bust reproducing the Torso Gaddi, the famous fragmentary sculpture displayed in the Uffizi Museums in Florence, which inspired many great artists of the Renaissance, including Michelangelo. The piece, handcrafted by the skilled artists of Galleria Romanelli, puts the emphasis on the study of anatomy and muscles, thanks to the peculiar pose called "contrapposto".
Va a Copenague, París, a Berlín y a Florencia. I am Janine Pendleton, and I am an explorer of the lost and forgotten world. I travel the world in search of amazing abandoned locations and photograph them to share with the world. There is so much beauty in these once-inhabited places which now lay overgrown and covered in dust.
One could say that Surrealism as a movement is a way for artists to seek distraction from the mundane and engage in fantasy. On his current exhibition at AFA Gallery, painter Daniel Merriam shares, “Although I may be guilty of a little denial, it’s enabled me to go to the edge and back, which is kind of where people expect an artist to go." Spanning over 20 new watercolor paintings, titled "Now You See Me: The Art of Escapism", he allows himself to overcome the limitations of reality in this latest series.

A splendid decorative object that will embellish any home or office, this magnificent work of art is handcrafted of plaster by sculptor Raffaello Romanelli in 2020. It depicts the bust of a blindfolded woman representing the Roman goddess Fortuna, a symbol of beauty, love, motherhood, and fertility. The sculpture is exquisite in all its details, namely the drapery enveloping the face and body, flowing sublimely behind her shoulders.
