Pistons fitted ready for the cylinder head
WIP on chassis
Crankshaft in place
Rear axle in place beneath fuel tank
Rolling Chassis

Close up details of the fit and finish, looks pretty good to me, just needs 90 years of patina.
Not much good without a wheel - so we now have one for the 8C. Steering box is on its way also. #steeringwheel #alfaromeo #vittoriojano #competizione #monoposto #millemiglia #tazionuvolari #corsa #scuderiaferrari #classic #antique #cars

Few weeks ago I presented on flickr the red VOLVO F12 (1/13 scale model). As I said, to design and build this big tractor truck I’ve used the magnificent 1/8 scale model released in 1987 by Pocher (historic Italian brand of static model making, failed few years ago and now bought by the english Hornby). Now I do have the pleasure to show you the 1/13 LEGO model side by side with the 1/8 POCHER model. I enjoyed photographing the two models together. When people see my 1/13 LEGO model they are surprised by the sizes, but when they see the 1/8 Pocher model they can’t believe their eyes. It’s really huge! If you speak Italian here you can read my personal tribute to the Pocher company and models. If you don’t speak Italian here you can read the history of Pocher company.
