Our Thursday Tip-Off series is a weekly set of tips, suggestions, and tricks for making you a better-informed person. You're welcome. This week, we're taking inspiration from a few of our favorite art prints to create some photo-inspired end of summer manicures. Read on to find out how you can try it out for yourself! Inspiration: Kii Arens Beck Lithograph Art Print The Look: Paul & Joe Bermuda Polish, Floss Gloss Neon Nacho Polish, Paul & Joe Rio Polish We love the colors in this Kii Arens print, and recreating them on our nails couldn't be easier. To create this look, create a base with the Rio Polish. Then, using a small sponge, alternately dab on light amounts of the Bermuda Polish and the Neon Nacho Polish. At the tips of your nails, dab on a very small amount of the UO Pastels Collection Blue Shark Polish. The key to this one is using a very small amount of polish each time your sponge it on so it layers on smoothly and creates the same effect of the poster. Super easy and foolproof! Inspiration: Wilder California Summer Cactus Art Print The Look: Paul & Joe Matte Topcoat, UO Neutrals Sweet Tooth Polish, Paul & Joe Tortue Verte Polish For a mani that brings the desert to you, use the Sweet Tooth Polish as a base on all your nails. Then, using a small nail art brush, dot a cactus onto your ring finger and thumb using the Tortue Verte Polish. (Here's a quick tutorial on how to do them.) Finally, finish with the Matte Topcoat to help achieve those muted desert colors. Inspiration: Print Club Boston x UO Cosmos Art Print The Look: Hologram Nail Polish, UO Western Blues Polish, UO Sparkle Collection Luster Polish Obviously we're going to go for the classic space nail here! For a quick, painless space mani, use the Western Blues Polish as a base. Using a sponge, lightly stamp some of the Luster Polish onto each nail (for that starry effect). Finally, using a small nail art brush, swirl some of the Hologram Polish on a few nails for a holographic Milky Way effect. Inspiration: Max Wanger Greenbrier Art Print The Look: UO Pastels Collection Powder Puff Polish, UO Matte Violet Polish, UO Sparkle Collection Bohemian Summer Polish We love the colors in this print, which is why it's one of our favorites to use for quick mani inspiration. For this one, use the Matte Violet Polish to paint each of your nails except for one (we recommend ring fingers). Then, use the Powder Puff Polish as a base on your remaining nail and top with the Bohemian Summer Polish. The finished result? Your very own sunset-inspired nails. Shop Nails
