Things to do: Commercial Street - the heart of P-Town! The street has all different kinds of shopping, delicious restaurants, and amazing views. Photo by @carolinegiulianophoto Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum - standing at 252 feet tall, the Monument commemorates the history of the Mayflower Pilgrims and beyond. It's the tallest all-granite structure in the United States. Both the Monument and the Museum are scheduled to reopen in mid-May. Photo by @adam_a_rose Race Point Beach - miles and miles of Cape Cod seashore with some of the best sunsets around! If you're lucky enough, you'll even be able to spot some whales and seals while you're there. Make sure to check out the lighthouse too! Photo by @gotham_knight1 MacMillan Wharf - Provincetown's major transportation hub, which includes: Bay State Cruises, Boston Harbor Cruises, and Caption John Boats Fast Ferry. Excursions of all types depart daily to explore the Harbor, the National Seashore, and Stellwagen National Marine Sanctuary. MacMillan Pier also is home to many art shacks and whale watches. Steven Milliken, a long time captain and the owner of the Dolphin Fleet has participated in the developement of guidelines for the Northeast region and designed a captains training program to safely work around whales in their natural habitat. Photo by @peterspringer10 Kohi Coffee Company - located on the waterfront in P-Town, their original coffee shop is founded upon the principles of quality, freshness, and service with every sip. After spending his summers in college stirring fudge at the Penney Patch, Paul Endich bought the shop in 1973. Over the next 43 years, he turned it into one of Provincetown's most adored family traditions. Today, his children David and Tamara run the business and continue the tradition of bringing delicious small-batch fudge, salt water taffy, and all sorts of old time candy to their happy customers! Their iconic neon lobster sign has guided generations of guests to their door and is one of the most Instagrammed restaurants on our page! People come from around the world to experience their fresh seafood and take in the amazing views of Provincetown Harbor. They are now open for the 2021 season! Their menu and style of service is rooted in the tradition of classic seafood shacks, but influenced by modern American cuisine. Must-try items include their hot and cold lobster rolls and their frosé. Currently open 7 days a week for lunch & dinner! Photo by @brayanmesa Portugese Bakery - located in the heart of downtown Provincetown, the Bakery has been at this location since around 1900 baking up a taste of Portugal. The Bakery is currently under new ownership, as of March 2021. The new owners encourage everyone to reach out to them through Facebook to give any suggestions of what you would like to see from them in the 2021 season! Their bayside dining room boasts 180 degree views through three walls of windows that look upon Cape Cod Bay, Provincetown Harbor, North Truro, and Truro. You might even spot a whale while you're dining! Open year-round. Photo by @midlifeinmidtown Liz's Cafe, Anybody's Bar - open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have used historic maritime decor, lighting, and accent pieces to tap into the rich maritime history of Provincetown. The central focal point of the restaurant is the Dory Bar that appears to be at sea. A large ship's wheel even sits prominently above the bar! Photo by @capeology Mama Matcha - known for their popular acai and pitaya bowls, signature toasts, and of course top ceremonial matcha beverages. They serve other items like crepes, fresh mixed salad bowls, and vegetable and fruit juices & smoothies. Their goal is to provide nutritious and delicious whole foods to ensure the body and mind function at their best. Opening soon for the 2021 season! You can even smell their pizza walking down the street. Decades later, the little shop is still owned and operated by the Yingling family and friends. Photo by @spiritus_pizza The Mews Restaurant & Cafe - born out of the Provincetown Mews Food and Wine Society, the Mews was started in 1964 with the goal of providing guests with a comfortable place to enjoy good food and drinks. There are two ways to experience the Mews. First is the Bistro, which is a lively room with a relaxed vibe that looks out on the beach with an amazing view of the bay. Hello from New England! I'm beyond thrilled to be embarking on a fall foliage cruise with Seabourn for 11 days. The cruise goes up New England and into Canada. I'm hoping to see some gorgeous leaves and experience some crisp weather. This is my first cruise experience and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be on this trip with Haley of Ready Set Jet Set. All of the photos you'll see on this trip will be taken by her and I know they'll be beautiful and so scenic! I'll have more about the actual cruise ship and experience onboard in a future post but wanted to share about our first port stop. In this post, I'm excited to share five things to do in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It's a quaint town and even though we were only there for a few hours, it was a fun experience and I can see why so many people love to summer there!
