Monks are known for their use of Ki and mastery of self. I have felt that Monks are almost always forced to focus on Dexterity and Wisdom, making all monks feel the same. This along with multiple levels were the features are not all that useful or interesting, Monks have seemed closer to a subset of fighter. Similar to how Eldritch Knight is an Arcane Fighter, and Psionic Warrior is a Psychic Fighter, Monks have felt like a subclass focused on bringing out your inner strength through Ki. Monk (Revised) is meant to make Monks feel like their own class and to give the ability for Monks that don't focus on Dexterity and Wisdom. With Martial Arts being less limiting, revisions granting the choice between which Ability Score you want to use, and new features such as Untethered Ki, this revised Monk will be unique from the other martial classes and allow for more diverse and varied ability scores. This document also has a revised Monk Subclass: Way of the Four Elements. With an expanded Four Elements Disciples list, allowing for more elemental abilities, and a new feature to grant a greater control over the elements, this revised subclass is perfect for any element bending or nature empowered monks!
