Today is my day to share some ideas over on the Stampin’ Stylin’ Inkspiration blog and I thought I would share with them and you a technique that has been around for a while but I only …
Playing with more stuff! I saw a sample on a demonstrator-only Facebook page, and had to try it for my grandsons. What do you think of this: I got this adorable new stamp set, Seaside Shore, and thought it would be fun to make a card for Ethan and Jacob. So I started with the inside--if this wasn't going to work I wasn't going to spend time creating the outside of the card...but it DID work, and it came out so cute. So here is the card from the front. I stamped the fish, masked them with a post-it note (stamped the fish and cut out to create the mask) and then stamped over them with the seaweed. I also added the bubbles. Then I colored them to make them look "tropical", and I added Wink of Stella to each fish (sorry you can't see how shiny they are). Then to the inside: I created a "pop up" by folding my cardstock in half and making a slit about 1-3/4" across the fold. Then I scored from each end of the slit to the center of the fold--this allowed me to pop out the "mouth" of my fish. I covered him in Peekaboo Peach Designer Series Paper; his tail is cut from a retired flower punch (but could easily be from a heart punch) and his fins are the retired Scallop Circle punch. On the back of the card, across the "mouth" I added a stamped banner, glued to either side of his mouth. Seaweed was added along the bottom of the "ocean" and I stamped and cut some little shells for the ocean floor. This piece was mounted to little scalloped strips of Peekaboo Peach, and then adhered to the inside of my card. But I had to have a treat to go with my cute card... The new Clear Tiny Treat Boxes were perfect! They are 2" cubes, clear, and such fun to play with. I cut 1-15/16" x 8-1/2" strips of the Peekaboo Peach DSP and scored them at just under the 2" mark every 2"; this allowed me to insert the paper INSIDE the treat box. I wrapped them with ribbon and added little tags. These were cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits and decorated with Swirly Scribbles "seaweed" and cut out fish. And what was inside? Well fish and and worms, of course: I found Swedish Fish and Gummy Worms--what could be more perfect? I loved putting this set together, and expect my grandsons will enjoy it all when it arrives this week. What do you think? All items can be purchased here.
Hi everyone, sharing the cards I made using the All Together 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack. I used the entire paper pack making 95 cards. This took be about 72 hours which includes finding the
This summery birthday card was stamped with the new Perfectly Wrapped Photopolymer stamp set. The set is available for purchase when the Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 Annual Catalog begins June 1.
I wanted to add a little DSP and something other than flowers and buttons, the butterfly and Bird builder stuck their hands up so today, the Bird builder punch meets the Bloomin Hearts thinlit die. The DSP is from the Neutrals Designer Series Pack of paper, and the Bloomin Hearts is die cut in Whisper White, highlighted with the bird. bow and sequence... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bloomin Hearts thinlit die & Bird Builder I love to create the bird with two colours, Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bloomin Hearts thinlit die & Bird Builder I used the pearl string from the Bloomin Heart embellishment kit - just gorgeous and purrrfect for this card... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bloomin Hearts thinlit die & Bird Builder From Pink Pirouette to Rich Razzleberry... A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bloomin Hearts thinlit die I layered the butterfly onto Blackberry bliss - stunning on the Whisper White Bloomin Hearts die cut A Crafty Cat: Stampin' Up! Bloomin Hearts thinlit die Very pretty I think! Hope you have enjoyed all of the creations using this very versatile die. I look forward to your feedback and your company next post. Yours in paper craft,

I needed to make some quick scrapbook pages for a Ronald McDonald house project so I thought about punch art. I will share a girls page tomorrow. I searched and found some cute animals on Splitcoast Stampers. I do not know who came up with the original ideas for these, but if it was you please email me and let me know and I will give credit to you. The turtles were made with: 1 - 1 3/4" circle Always Artichoke 1 - 1 3/8" circle Old Olive 1 - 3/4" circle Always Artichoke 4 - 1/2" circles Always Artichoke 7 - 1/4" circles Barely Banana 2 - 1/4" circles Whisper White 2 - 1/8" circles Basic Black for tail - punch one 3/4" circle from Always Artichoke and then cut a 1/2" circle in the shape of a semi circle (smile I call it) Cut that in half and attach for tail. I forgot to put that piece in the photograph below. You can see a similar piece in the frog pieces photograph. I sponged Always Artichoke on the green pieces except for the tail. For the Frog you will need: 1 - 1 3/4" circle Always Artichoke 1 - 1 3/8" circle Old Olive 2 - 3/4" circles Always Artichoke 2 - 1/2" circles Whisper White 2 - 1/4" circles Basic Black 2 - small flowers from Boho Blossoms punch Always Artichoke 2 - small ovals Always Artichoke 1 - large oval Always Artichoke For smile - cut 3/4" Basic Black and then cut 1/2" circle form that in a smile shape. Sponge green pieces with Always Artichoke. For eyes the Always Artichoke circles are glued behind the oval and the white and black in front of the oval. The scrapbook page is Barely Banana 12" x 12" with an 8 1/2" x 11" Old Olive card stock piece layered on top. The letters are a sizzix alphabet die.
Well these were an absolute pain to photo, especially the white ones so these are the best of a bad job. Today is the last day to enter Less is More cut it out challenge so I thought I had better post the ones I've done. The problem is having checked some entries I wanted to have a go at making some of them. My first is probably the one that came to my head when I first saw the challenge using the square anywhere punch from Martha Stewart, don't you hate that chap on the TV selling them he makes it look so easy again this was the best of a bad job. The leaves are my favourite Sizzix die and use it a lot in scrapbooking and the flowers are punched ones again. That just leaves the stampin up sentiment and punches. So having seen the gorgeous white cards that Chrissie and Mandy have made I had to make a version too. I have used the heart embossing folder inside. I've used various punches and the Magnolia swirl die. I've never seen Barbara from Clarity use their stamp but I saw a card on someones blog and I had to have the stamp. As you can seen I cut out the O and used it as a template for the scene I made, which I then used sticky fixers to give it depth behind the O. I saw this card and I just had to have a go but I didn't want it to look completely like the one I saw. I used a stamping up folder and punched a flower off to the side which is similar to the Christmas card my Stampin Up friend Nikki made. I can see now I've found the link that I could've used some gems in the centre. I've got a weekend at home just got to make a couple of cards today and then I've a weekend of Scrapbooking
Learn to use your punches for create a faux embossed background, a layer around the greeting that perfectly fits and decorate the inside!
I personally LOVE this card! I learned this technique while at convention. Do you see these awesome 3D flowers?!? They are made from a simple circle punch with the edges sponged in Tangelo Twist! T…
Time to get those Easter cards made and into the mail! Won't be long now before Easter rolls around. Hmmmm......I wonder if we will still have snow? We got about an inch last night again. The good news is warm weather is on the way for the weekend and it should melt pretty fast. Maybe there will be egg hunts in the grass this year after all! I used another alcohol ink background for this card. I punched out a (SU) butterfly in the same background. The pretty squares are from a friends MS punch. It's one of those that you can move around the paper. The sentiment is from Verve. Have a great day!
I've been working on some new Book Page Canvas Wall Art (other designs here), and wanted to dress up the edges. I use adhesive vinyl to create a stencil to paint the wording, but I didn't want to use expensive vinyl to create a border, since once I remove it, it isn't reusable. I don't normally buy many paper punches, because I don't use them often, but when I spotted this Doily Lace Edge punch by Martha Stewart in Hobby
