About The Artwork An interior detail of a pillar in one of the corridors of the City Palace and Museum in Udaipur, Rajastahn, India. This palace is very photogenic and I had a field-day wandering around in this place. I wish i could get access to other parts that were shut off to get a better idea of its original grandeur. I'm guessing much of it is in disrepair or undergoing restoration but this could make for even more compelling architectural interior details. A signed print from a limited edition of 25. Printed with a white border to accommodate framing/mounting and the signature - the actual size of the printed image is 113.9 x 80.1 cm. Should you have any questions about any of my artworks, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via my website ("globe" button under my profile photo). Also, if you would like to get updates about new artworks you can also click the “Follow” button on my profile. Beautifully Giclée printed on Hahnemuhle Pearl paper - a slightly textured 285 gsm. semi-gloss paper which holds more detail with punchier colours than a matt paper, whilst maintaining a illustrative/ painted feel. Technology: Epson UltraChrome HDR Wide Gamut Inks with archival life expectancy: 40 years daylight, 200 years in dark. All prints are professionally printed to ensure the absolute best quality and consistency. I pride myself in strict quality control, hence I only use top professional printers based here in London, that I am content use very strict colour consistency checks and use the very best of printing techniques available. This of course greatly increases production costs, but give me and my customers the peace of mind that I deliver a supreme quality artwork. About The Artwork After walking for hours through the busy alleyways of the old Fes Medina, amidst a suffocating heatwave I came across the El Attarine Medersa. That morning I had planned an “easy day”, a quick walk around the Medina before seeking refuge in the comfort of my hotel’s aircon; temperature outside was 46C/115F. The 14th century University, one of the oldest in the world, was a little piece of heaven. Beautiful detailing in the arches, colourful mosaic tiles and fountains. Midday is usually not my favourite time to photograph but in the case the diagonal shadow crossing the internal courtyard enhanced the delicate features of the building. It can be challenging writing about a place and experiences, it somewhat feels like being blindfolded and trying to describe an elephant by only being able to touch its ears. Settling on one interpretation of events can be limiting, which is why it’s beneficial to keep an open mind to different ways

About The Artwork This is an architectural detail study of one of the beautifully intricate privacy screens at Amer Fort (also called Amer Palace, Amber Fort or Amber Palace) which is perched on the top of a hill above the city of Amer close to Jaipur in Rajasthan. These latticed screens were designed to allow the queens and ladies to watch the proceedings of the royal court in privacy. The architectural style of Amer Palace is a blend of Hindu and Muslim influences, built out of sandstone and marble, and contains a series of impressive palaces, gardens, temples and halls. It was built by Raja Man Singh in 1592, and the following three predecessors over a time-span of about two centuries. Amer Fort is also listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. A signed print from a limited edition of 25. Printed with a white border to accommodate framing/mounting and the signature - the actual size of the printed image is 113.9 x 80.1 cm.
