About The Artwork Risk Tolerance Woody Allen once said, “Life doesn’t imitate art, it imitates bad television.” In this case, Risk Tolerance may be imitating the 24/7 news cycle, exploring the volatile times we live in and the turbulence so prevalent on the nightly news. According to Gebhardt, our beleaguered hero embodies the energy and willingness to take risks early on and encourages us to build the stamina necessary to suffer a punch and bounce back for another round, not unlike the country. It’s a reminder to continually condition, take risks and build tolerance to thwart the bullies — both real and imagined. The 56” x 47” canvas remains partially incomplete — signifying a work in progress. Risk Tolerance is a reminder of what George Bernard Shaw once said, “A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spending doing nothing.” In the case of a start-up nation, a company or human being those lacerations are going to come along but through stitches and slings there will be growth Original Created:2015 Subjects:Abstract Materials:Canvas Styles:Abstract ExpressionismFigurativePortraiture Mediums:AcrylicGessoOil Details & Dimensions Painting:Acrylic on Canvas Original:One-of-a-kind Artwork Size:47 W x 56 H x 2 D in Frame:Not Framed Ready to Hang:Not applicable Packaging:Ships in a Crate Shipping & Returns Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments. Original artwork description: This is a mixed media painting. It's painted with acrylic paint, inks, salt, varnish, paper and other items. It is highly textured. This painting is 22"x28"x1" and is mixed media on canvas. I really appreciate you viewing my art! For paintings on canvas, the sides of the painting have been painted so no frame is needed. For those on paper, I have included a photo with a full size picture of the painting. In most cases the painting is to the edges of the paper. If there is a mat included, I have noted it somewhere within the listing. All paintings come ready to hang and have been varnished for protection. All images Copyright ©2021 by Shelli Finch. All rights reserved. SHIPPING: I like to be as environmentally conscious as possible. I reuse shipping materials when I can. Your package will come wrapped in brown paper wrapping as well as two to three layers of bubble wrap along with an outer layer of cardboard for safety in shipping. I usually ship via USPS because I live in a smaller town in Iowa and we don’t have a dearth of shipping choices. For larger paintings, I will most likely use UPS packaging and shipping. NOTE: Postage is hard to figure out before mailing. Any postage overages of +$2.00 or more will be refunded back to you. International Mailing: Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. These fees are applied when the package reaches its final destination. These fees are decided by the country to which to package is being delivered. I do not include these fees in my artwork or shipping prices. The buyer is responsible for all duties, taxes and fees.
