I liked all those scrappy trip around the world quilts on Flickr so much (see here: www.flickr.com/photos/philistinemade/sets/72157626947777112/ and here: www.flickr.com/photos/34114790@N07/5965748339/in/photostr..., that I made one myself! It turned out a lot bigger than I expected (180x180 cm, 70x70 inch), and I seriously hesitated before adding the outer rows. But I like the square design, especially using all these different fabrics. It gives some wonkiness to a very symmetrical design. Quilting will have to wait, I want to finish some other quilttops first.
